Food was delicious! Half rack of ribs each was plenty for me and probably most folks especially when paired with a side or two. Ribs were moist and tender with a nice rub and a good selection of sauces. We had the potato salad, creamy coleslaw, and pit beans and they were all great. Portions were a happy medium where it was enough to satisfy you without stuffing yourself or feeling slighted. Kids meals were reasonable at $7.50 and the chunky applesauce my kids picked was excellent. Not sure about parking as we walked from the zoo, a pretty easy 15 min walk from the south entrance. We ate inside as it was around 90 outside but they had patio seating as well. Staff was friendly and the wait wasn't too long. We had lunch around 1:45pm so maybe more of a crowd/wait at peak hrs.

Truly amazing brisket. Pappy's smokehouse is OK but doesn't even hold a candle to this brisket. Best BBQ place I've been to in St. Louis.

Just in town until Tuesday. First time in St. Louis & area, so definitely want some bbq. Boy, did we get it!!😋 I've been to a few bbq joints with great food, but never one with such an incredibly eclectic and original menu. Just so goooood, too. Great place with pleasant inside, but the patio is where you want to be. I'm pretty confident that you could just close your eyes and press your finger anywhere on the menu and come out a winner. Great staff. We were created upon entering and never waited for anything, really. Definitely glad we decided on Hogtown Smokehouse.

The waitress was very nice. We ordered food to go. The brisket was flavorless without sauce. I don’t normally eat brisket with sauce. The baked beans were very good. Spicy and full of different types of meat. The Mac and cheese wasn’t my favorite.

We were in town (from the Twin Cities) for the 2025 President's Day Classic, and had Hogtown Smokehouse cater a team (and parents) dinner for 30 in our hotel. Rico was fantastic in helping us out. Quick to respond to calls and emails. Gracious, and just wonderful altogether... and that's just the service.
The food? The empty pans, told the story. Brisket, Turkey and Pork for meats. Mac & cheese, potato salad and beans for sides. EVERYTHING was amazing!
I never right reviews, but Rico and staff deserve this one. If you're reading this, don't hesitate to give them a try.

Food was ok, a bit on the cooler side than I expected. Service animals are allowed by the establishment, as long as they have their vest on. I would also have their card at the ready..I was approached by a guy, not sure if he was employed here or not with him moving about the place freely, aggressively asking about my service dog... Very unsettled after this encounter, not fault of the business.
Okay, can we all take a moment to appreciate the clever name of Hogtown in Dogtown?! First time here. My favorite bbq is always from a smaller place like this. Found a table easily, had great service and really great food. Brisket Mac and cheese and the cornbread are where it’s at. Lots of TVs to watch live sports too. We’ll definitely be back.

Excellent brisket - so tender, lean, crunchy outer, absolutely delicious! Also had the creamy coleslaw, enjoyed! Highly recommend and also great selection of beer, unfortunately couldn’t try today… nice outdoor space! Easy street parking.
