good if fresh is what you're going for. Get the Calamari...WAY better than what Schnucks sells.

Bryon was a fantastic server. We got the $95/boil with a beer and sweet tea. Food was pretty good just a little underdone for my liking on the scallops, the sauce was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. the staff was friendly. Environment was quiet for a 3pm on a Wednesday but relaxing. Will definitely be back!!

This is by far the best crab boil / seafood place in St Louis. If you happen to come ask for Miss mary, she is a wonderful server and we had a wonderful time!!!!

The service was amazing. The crab and lobster were both very over cooked. Unfortunately this made it almost impossible to get any of the crab meat out the rest of the food was fantastic though! The crabmeat fries were just perfect. Sweet but not too much!

I celebrated my birthday recently at Hook and Reel. My wife joined. We enjoyed delicious calamari and both had the fried catfish. It was superb. The staff was friendly and they had bar trivia on the TV which was a great diversion despite my wife beating me.

The boil and fried oysters were good. Most of the servers seemed like they were brand new and didn’t have a clue. They were out of 3 of the beers on the menu. And the menus were sticky and needed to be cleaned. Just not impressed. Hope they can improve.

We sat for 10 min before anyone came to our table. Our waitress took 20 min to get drinks. Another 10 min to come get our order. When it food finally came, we didn't see her again. We actually sat for 20 min waiting for check. Then she added 18% gratuity and there was only 5 of us. And she didn't deserve the $23 tip she took from us. She was crappy because she knew she added it. Manager didn't help, blamed it on corporate. They weren't even busy

The seafood boil is bomb!! Def recommend this place. I went for my bday lunch got 2 clusters snow crab, lb of shrimp, potatoes and corn. I did get Cajun cause I wasn’t familiar with their spice levels but def would up it to spicy next visit! If u want a kick to it, go spicy. But other than that the place is cute and the environment is great. 10/10 spot

It smells great. Haven't tried anything yet but I have good hopes.

I tried the snow crab with casein sauce. The food left me very satisfied. The staff could be better it's almost like apple bees staff from this place if anyone local remembers. However it was still a good experience for a new place. I'll have to come back when they fully open

I ordered 1/2 lb crawfish and 1/2 lb shrimp, both spicy, and the portion sizes were decent. Unfortunately, the food was really disappointing overall. The spice level was barely noticeable, and the flavor was very underwhelming for a seafood boil.

What bothered me most was the shrimp. The outside of it looked very dirty, like it wasn’t properly cleaned before cooking, which made me question the freshness and prep.

I wanted to like this place, but for the price and what I expected, it just didn’t deliver. Probably won’t be back.
