Massively overpriced. I ordered noodles thinking I'd get a little side of ramen and they brought out 2 pounds of linguini. Ordered scallops and mussels. Got like 8 scallops buried in all that pasta. Mussels were overcooked. My friend got crawfish. She is real Cajun (unlike the people work worked there) and she was not a fan. Speaking of fans, the place was hot and sweaty. No AC running. That guy was STRUGGLING to pour me a beer. I wanted to ask to see his ID to make sure he was legal to be behind the bar, the way he was struggling.

This restaurant is a total vibe! The decor and captain jack sparrow is a fun addition to the amazing food! My fiancé and I came here on Saturday afternoon for catfish po boy and the catfish basket. We also had oysters (they were so good we had to order seconds)
Didn’t get to try any cocktails but we will definitely be coming back for a seafood boil and some of their drinks!
Definitely recommend coming here and I think the pricing is great for what it is.. seafood is typically expensive so it’s great to see how BIG the portions are here and they’re seasoned well. It was absolutely delicious.

Placed a delivery order for $165.00 worth of food and the order arrived wrong.
When I returned to the restaurant for a refund, they refused and said they can't provide me with a refund because I ordered via door dash.
I'm visiting from New Jersey and am used to the service of my local Hook & Reel, but this location is not the same, and I won't be returning.
As with most fast food chains, the employees here really could care less, but I guess they don't get paid enough to care or offer a customer service centric solution.
I would avoid this place at all costs and find seafood elsewhere in St Louis.

Didn’t even order. Found bugs crawling in the pepper container. Then was told we had to pay for three drinks that were untouched.

Food was delicious! The price was a little high. They added an 18 percent gratuity to my check. I was a party of 1.

I visited this restaurant a few days ago and couldn’t resist coming back today. That’s how good it is. I'm absolutely in love with their clam chowder—it’s one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Rich, flavorful, and served in a portion so generous it left me completely satisfied. The service is exceptional too—attentive, welcoming, and made me feel right at home. This place has earned a permanent spot on my favorites list! ❤️

I’m so very disappointed. The watery sauce with no flavors. The sausage so cheap you can choke on it. My money was truly wasted today. Go to Kickin crab yall. NEVER AGAIN!
Delicious seafood boil with loads of flavor

We came to Hook & Reel in Bevo Mill and honestly didn’t even stay to eat. The vibe was off as soon as we walked in. The place felt run-down and dirty, and the atmosphere just wasn’t it—loud, chaotic, and honestly a little ghetto.
We sat down, looked around, and just didn’t feel comfortable at all. It didn’t feel clean, the service was unorganized, and after a few minutes we decided it wasn’t worth staying. We didn’t even touch the food—we got up and left.
Definitely wouldn’t recommend this location. There are way better spots in St. Louis for seafood and a decent experience.

First and last time trying this place. Hush puppies were good. The boil had no flavor unless a clam or mussel had all the seasoning in the shell. Crab was bland also the shrimp too. Even if you dip it in the butter it had no flavor. Potatoes were good.
It was in St Louis pretty good place it was for my daughter's birthday she got exactly what she wanted absolutely loved it would recommend it if you go up there for Cajun food it's probably the best one in St Louis
