The food was seriously OUTSTANDING. Incredibly delicious, anything you order will be a hit. Especially the shrimp toast, palm sugar ribs, sake yaki, and Japanese eggplant. Be sure to leave room for dessert, they have an excellent coconut jasmine rice pudding. The service was also great and the drinks were wonderful. One note -- some soft furnishings (curtains, rugs, panels) would do WONDERS for the acoustics in the dining room. Despite the small indoor space, the room is laid out nicely and feels adequately private. However, the sound bounces around so aggressively that it's very difficult to hear your dining partner. Again, a minor issue that could likely be resolved with some design tweaks. If you book your reservation far enough in advance, I'd recommend avoiding the dining room if you plan on conversing with your dining partner. Overall, outstanding experience, and well worth a visit.

My first photo collage was from 2021 at Indo, and the second one was taken just last night. Looking back, I really miss the time when Indo still offered all of my favorite dishes on the dinner menu. I used to be a huge fan of both Indo and Nippon Tei, and I recommended them to so many friends ( it breaks my heart when NT was closed
Since then, I’ve also been to Sado, which I found to be a better experience. I’m not sure whether Indo’s newer sister restaurant is receiving more attention, but unfortunately, Indo itself has lost some of the quality that made me love it in the first place. The flavors now feel mediocre, and the prices have gone up, which makes it harder to justify going back.
It’s a little sad, because Indo used to be one of my go-to places for a date night, but I probably won’t be returning anymore.

I’ve been coming to Indo for quite a few years now. The staff are always so friendly, and the food simply the best.

Absolutely amazing meal! The food is all incredible, but the chili noodles, salted squid, and pork lettuce wraps were out of this world. Ask for Andy! They can point you towards the best food and drinks on the menu. They can answer questions that you have about about dietary restrictions and spice level as well. You won't leave hungry or disappointed. 10 stars if if could!

Before you visit, I’d recommend fasting for at least 16 hours because the food here is truly out of this world. My husband and I ended up ordering nearly half the menu, as everything sounded irresistible. The two dishes that completely stole my heart were the crab fried rice and the Thai red curry braised short rib worth every single dollar and every single calorie. The restaurant itself is quite small and feels a bit cozy (some might say cramped), but beyond that, it was an unforgettable culinary experience.

Everything @ iNDO is 5 star. Food, Service, Atmosphere, Cleanliness, Preparation and Wait Times. It’s an experience you will not find in any other restaurant in St Louis. Highly recommended. You won’t be disappointed nor will you forget such a special experience in dining.

What a wonderful meal!!!! The photos speak for themselves, but some highlights:
Isaan hamachi - super fresh yellowtail in a glorious coconut citrus chili sauce 🌶️ omg. I could drink that sauce
Shrimp toast - I thought it would be shrimp on toast, but the shrimp was part of the toast (I don’t know how they did that). Mmmm I miss it already
Palm sugar ribs - it’s hard for me to love sweet meat dishes but this was incredible. The glaze was honey-like, and the ribs’ caramelization + the crunch of the nuts, wow.

Service started out great then it went down hill once restaurantgot busy. Server never brought one of our dishes, we did not get charged for it. Food was awesome. Drinks were all very good.

One of the best meals in STL! Cocktails and dinner were amazing. Every dish was excellent. Our favorite dishes were the shrimp toast and garlic chili noodles. The service was great too - nice and attentive staff!

Surprisingly bad for such a well liked restaurant. Mediocre food. Poor service. We were seated almost 30 minutes after our reservation time. This is the first time I've felt scammed walking out of a restaurant. Maybe I just had too high expectations; it might be ok if you go in thinking you're going to spend $100 a person on food from the takeout section of Schnucks. The only positive was good drinks.

Just wonderful. Creative takes on SE Asian (mostly) food… lots of rich intense flavors. This is a really lovely restaurant interior with great service as well. Can’t wait to go back and try more - everything we ordered was noteworthy.
Dishes are small plates served to share. Each dish sized enough for 4 people (at most) and easily shareable for two. Interior is warm with clean lines, dress and vibe is similarly stylish but not formal.
Definitely a best STL restaurant.

This place is absolutely incredible and probably one of the top 50 or maybe even 25 restaurants I've ever had the pleasure of dining at.
Each dish was thoughtfully constructed and the cocktails were unreal. I told the bartenders they need to add some type of side starch to the menu people can order to mop up all the sauce that's leftover with some of their dishes as I almost just straight drank the bowls afterwards.
Bonus points if you can figure out a night when Sofia(sp?) and Hia are behind the bar as they were such warm hosts to chat with all night long.
I live in Seattle but told my wife we should look into coming back to St Louis for a weekend just to come to this restaurant for dinner 2x nights in a row it's that good.
