Very fun menu, everything was fantastic. We shared about two plates per person and got the fish collar, the Issan Hamachi, the salt and pepper tofu and the chili garlic noodles along with the cabbage and some sashimi.

They were all fun and the noodles and tofu are must tries.

Service was wonderful and overall I highly recommend.

Place is nice, food is tasty, however, the menu is extremely limited and half the menu is raw fish. The drinks are also tasty & unique but after 2 sip, gone. They do not have meals but they rather you pick several dishes to try, which comes out at random times & left me feeling dissatisfied. You do not have to dress up at this place, jeans & a t shirt will suffice. If you want a cool spot to experiment on some good & just hang & socialize, this is the spot! In my opinion, this is not the place you go to celebrate big events like anniversaries & birthday specials. & yes the ambiance could be nice if you’re at a nice table but I was crammed up against a wall next to a large table with a bunch of loud people. Nothing romantic about it. Like I said though, it’s nice.

Excellent, delicious and unique. One entree was better than the next, you can’t go wrong with.

The best in town. I’ve never had a short rib that changed my life until Indo. I also had a limited drink “Burning Lotus” which I will be dreaming of.

New Year’s Eve
Expectations were high, but the evening ultimately proved disjointed and disappointing. Across multiple courses, basic temperature control was consistently off: sushi arrived warm, fried items were cold, and chilled dishes were anything but. These are fundamental missteps that undermine even the most ambitious menu.

Service further contributed to the uneven experience. Our primary server—recognizable by a short, buzzed haircut—was attentive and professional, offering a brief moment of coherence in an otherwise chaotic flow. However, food was delivered by several additional staff members whose appearance and demeanor felt incongruent with the restaurant’s pricing and stated ambitions. The lack of uniformity and polish was noticeable and distracting.

The pacing of the meal was rushed to the point of discomfort. Drinks were pushed quickly, courses arrived in rapid succession, and the overall rhythm suggested turnover rather than hospitality. For a bill exceeding $600, the experience felt transactional rather than considered.

In the end, the restaurant delivers neither the precision nor the refinement its reputation implies. With sharper execution, more disciplined service, and greater attention to detail, it could justify its cost—but on this visit, it fell notably short.

Fantastic place. Even the dishes that weren’t my taste preference I still enjoyed eating and experiencing the restaurant. If you have a small get together or a nice date night for you and the wife this is a great place. Very considerate of allergies and sensitivities as well.

What a special place. I don't live in St. Louis anymore but I've heard nothing but great things about this place. I finally had a chance to go eat there and was wowed. The flavor profiles were so unique, the play on ingredients, it was just awesome. I cannot recommend this place enough.

To scallop was exceptional. 🍽️

Everything about this place was absolutely great from the food to the service.

We had a party of 5 an ordered almost everything on the menu. The main dishes that stood out for the entire table definitely had to be the hamachi kama, issan hamachi, and laarb. I wasn’t able to grab any pictures of all our favorite dishes but I did leave some photos below of the issan hamachi, ribs, and scallop.

Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable about the dishes; coming from the server industry I know when the restaurant is about to close sometimes the service isn’t as great but we stayed a past closing time and the service was great(our reservation was at 8:15pm).
