Every time I go to St Louis I always have to have me some good soul food and this is my spot always have been for years

The food is alright. I wasn’t impressed with none of the sides. I get the same thing entree every time and it’s fried so it’s hard to go wrong with that. The line can be long and you can be waiting for 30-60 just to order if you arrive after 1130am.

I gave this a 3 star because although their door sign and google say they are opened till 430pm, they will shut down anywhere from 40-70 mins early. So coming anytime after 320pm is a gamble and potentially a waste a gas if they close early.

This place is a hole in the wall space with soul food except, I couldn’t find the soul in the food. The Mac and cheese was incredibly salty, and truly tasted like it was made using the cheapest ingredients. The oxtail was greasy and had no flavor whatsoever so ever. In my opinion, not worth the long wait line and rude staff.
