We were there early, before the music started, but at other times I've heard many excellent traditional Irish folk musicians there.

My VP's credit card definitely took a beating tonight. Our whole team showed up, and with an open bar in play, things escalated quickly. Beer flowed freely, a few rounds of shots made their way around, and the food kept coming. Even with what must have been close to sixty people ordering, drinking, and talking over each other, the staff here handled it all with impressive grace and efficiency. They kept the energy up and made sure no one was left waiting too long, which is no small feat in a crowd that size.
I went with a Guinness, naturally. It’s my go-to in a setting like this. To go with it, I ordered a Reuben sandwich. I skipped most of the bread and passed on the chips, but the filling was absolutely spot-on. Hot, tender corned beef layered with melted Swiss cheese, a touch of sauerkraut, and just the right amount of mustard. It was rich, savory, and satisfying—basically perfection on a plate.
We’ll definitely need to come back to McGurk’s when it’s a smaller group so we can enjoy things at a more relaxed pace. But for a big team night like this, they really pulled it off. Very impressed with how smoothly it all went.

Fun Irish bar with fine beer on tap. Plenty of space, including an expansive patio area. Often good music coming from a variety of bands.

I love the artichoke dip with pita chips and the cocktails super good
I had a cup of some of the best dang potato soup I have ever eaten 😋 accompanied with a child's Chicken Strips. I opted for the steamed green beans that were seasoned perfectly and so tender, they melted in your mouth!! My husband ordered the Reuben Sandwich. Large portion piled high on a hoagie bun, topped with yummy kraut and gooey cheese! Homemade Irish Chips were served up piping hot and fresh. Never disappointed here!!

Took me a century to get my drink. I don’t know what to tell you management quit slacking.
We very much enjoyed McGurk’s during a recent visit to St. Louis! Great atmosphere and food!
