A great nieghborhood spot. A beautiful patio & music.Wheelchair accessibility: The main door & first room are zero step. The bar in this area is wheelchair height. They have a portable ramp that will get you up the one step into the other interior rooms & patio. The restroom is accessible with a wheelchair stall and grab bars. A power chair should fit but it will be tight.

Was looking for authentic Irish pub. Guinness was not served in a Guinness glass so I could not “split the G”! Fish and chips came with potato chips and NOT authentic thick cut twice-fried potatoes.

Our server was super slow, we had to ask her each time for drink refills.. We all had very few home made chips this time in our plates. . The potato skins were very good.. I dislike that you pay at the table as your server holds the machine & watches you.. We notice anything extra now is an extra charge, like ranch dressing to go with the potato skins and extra onion to go on a hamburger.. We had a large bill & would have been nice if we didn't have to flag our waitress down each time for refills & everything else..

Really accommodating for our large party, great service and food! The pork chops were amazing!Parking: Street parking, and it can be pretty crowded on the weekends, so you may have to walk a block or so.

Meredith was a gem and took great care of our group of 20. However, Abby was not welcoming, reprimanded us for taking a table that a waitress sat us at. She later berated Meredith in front of our group for seating us.The tenacity was unmatched. Your establishment is lovely and so is your staff. Please provide Abby with training to respect her coworkers and guests. Thanks to Meredith, I am a couple shots in while writing this post but was unable to discuss these sentiments with Abby before we left. Best of luck on all your future endeavors. All Hail Meredith! #promotemeredith #onlyifshewantsthepromotion #meredithforpresident2048

Easily one of the Top 5 Irish Pubs in the country. Maybe even makes my Top 3 in the USA. And I should know, I have been to pubs in Boston, NYC, D.C., Chicago, L.A., and I have been to Ireland twice; Galway, Dublin, Kilkenney. I'm an Irish musician and historian. And let me tell you something, McGurk's in St Louis is in the running with the best pubs of them all. I have rarely been at a loss for words when describing a place but let me just tell you an Irish pub should have great music (check!), a great bar (McGurk's has MANY yes I said multiple!), an Irish pub should have atmosphere (check!), it should be beautiful inside and out (check, check!), a fun crowd (check!), great drinks especially of course a pint of the Guinness (check!), friendly bartenders (check!), great food (check!), I can go on and on. I found myself staying much longer than I thought; I was really taken aback at how wonderful McGurk's is.

I came to McGurk's for a short business meeting. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was great. We only ordered chips (which were delivered warm and delicious with malt vinegar), so I can't say for sure, but I bet the rest of the menu is just as tasty.

Last 2 years my place of employment threw Christmas parties here. Although, they're not actually celebrating Christmas. So I call it a drunk fest party with prizes.

For Irish music it's amazing. However, for food they are no longer doing a great job. Been to this place dozens of times over many years. Unfortunately, the last two times have been lesser quality than is acceptable. Seated outside and watched a party or six walk into the middle seating area and a guy spit on the patio. I'm eating and witnessed this fool acting like he's at home or something. Not their fault for this but dried out food and horribly under trained servers clearly in the weeds without any support from management or otherwise is their fault. Pro tip don't put your hands on or near where a guest's mouth goes. Additionally, ignoring your tables to flirt with other servers isn't going to end well. Look it's a cool place and if you lower your expectations it's fine. Just do not go there expecting something better than over priced bar food horrible service and a less than well mannered crowd.
