We had the vegan bibimbap, which wasn’t bad - but nothing is marked for gluten free. Turns out they marinade everything in soy sauce - so if you are vegan with celiac stay away from here. Food was OK but nothing great. Updated from previous review on 2025-09-09

Disappointingly small portion for the price
We ordered the “Monsterbowl” for nearly $20 and received a serving more suited for a child. The taste was fine, but the value for money was completely off. Unfortunately, not recommended.

6pm on a Saturday. Beer sold out. Bibimbap had very little flavorless meat and ice cold mushrooms. Our meals came out 15min apart on the same ticket. Restaurant was sweaty hot filled with mousetraps!

The food was amazing. There was only one person behind the counter who was also the cook, but he was very professional and nice. I did not have to wait long at all.
The day we went there, it was very hot and the doors were open to the outside and into the restaurant as well as the hallway outside the restaurant. The Hvac was apparently not working, and there was only a fan blowing in the hallway. This did not make eating some of the sweet and semi spicy chicken pleasurable because I was sweating from the hot weather and from the spicy food.
Other than that, they could get their HVAC going I would definitely go back.

check your food in the bag before you leave. I ordered a sando combo but it didn’t come with fries or lettuce and tomatoes that I paid extra for. Bland chicken too. Very disappointing

If you've never had Korean-Mexican fusion you have to try it. We were at the Edwardsville location in March. The food was very good. The place was clean. The staff was friendly but, not enthusiastic.
They have good Korean recipes and the people putting it all together do fine work.
If/when I'm in St Louis I would go here for lunch.

Kimchi Guys has a fun menu that ranges from Korean Fried Chicken wings to sandwiches, a few Korean classics, and even a Korean/Mexican fusion section to their menu.

Small but bustling restaurant with seating inside, offering a self-ordering experience (either at the kiosk or via your phone and a QR code at the table).

I ordered the 6 wing combo (comes with waffle fries, white radish kimchi and a drink). You can choose which sauce you’d like on your wings, this being my first time and no staff immediately available to talk to, I opted for 1/2 Spicy Original and 1/2 Garlic Soy. I ended up liking the Garlic Soy more.

The wings were made fresh to order, still piping hot when my order got called upon. The wings were tender, just about falling off the bone. Their waffle fries were crispy and salty, better than Chik-fil-A in my opinion. And I appreciated the small serving of the white radish.

Should also note that there is a small vegan section to the menu and plant-based protein as an option.

I enjoyed my meal and would definitely go back to try more of their menu. The reason I’m giving them 4 stars instead of 5 are for the following reasons:

For my taste, I would have liked the wings a tad saltier, and maybe that comes down to the sauces I ordered.

The restaurant was HOT, I’m not sure they have AC and the place was so hot that it may have been better to have done take out.

Service was not readily available because staff are doing their jobs processing orders (they get busy), and it was tough to find someone readily available for questions.

Price point. 6 wings, a drink, small serving of waffle fries and a small serving of kimchi radish for $18 is a little steep (that’s before tax).

I’d go back though, and that’s what really matters.

We came here right before going to the arch, and its a pretty good and quick bite! the entrance is a little difficult to find, the true front door to the place is inside the entry hall of the building its in, so check all the doors before you give up!! food was quick and pretty good, especially the pickle kimchi and tteokbokki. prices about what you'd expect for food right next to the arch. its a smaller dining space, so better suited for smaller groups, but we were fine with 4 adults. good place to grab a quick bite, especially right before the arch!!

Food is fantastic but it feels like they don't have AC.

Ordered KFC tenders and it was overcooked, greasy and no flavor. $2.50 for a cookie that you would get out of a pack from a grocery store. Felt like the 2 man staff crew were new friendly and professional but definitely inexperienced.

Clean ingredients, but not worth the value. Definitely not enough protein or vegetables in the bibimbap bowl. It is mostly rice and it’s an extra $1 on a $15 bowl to add sauce. AC also doesn’t seem to be working.

Shoutout to Mr. Luis for being extra kind to our large family! We had a huge order but I never felt like we waited long! The food was delicious and I’m so bummed we do not have one closer to home! Our kids loved their sandwiches and everything else we ordered!

Food was okay, it was an okay lunch spot. The employees were nice & helpful! The floors were sticky like others said but it didn't bother me too bad.
