So, after looking at some of the other reviews and combining that with my own experience here. It really seems like perhaps your experience varies depending on when you visit. I visited on a Sunday around 4:00. I was seated by myself (it was just me) and waited around 25 minutes for someone to take my drink order. Chicagoan reviewing. Value was on the mark, big open bar area as well as an enormous dining room that welcomed kids when we were there. We only had the fish and chips but I can't recommend them highly enough ... with a caveat. The cod was incredibly fresh, best I've had in ages and not at all greasy. Mic and Jordan were amazing!!! Great bartenders and very friendly. We are from California working and their hospitality was next to none! When back in St Louis, we will be stopping in for SURE!
