Wow! These PORTIONS were quite literally kind blowing. My parents had to split the country breakfast (with plenty leftover), while my boyfriend made a valiant effort to finish his own (he got about 2/3 in before throwing in the towel!). I ordered the waffles with a side of bacon. This is the only brunch place in the city that offers TWO Belgium waffles for the price of one. We will absolutely be back.Parking: It’s in soulard so be prepared to pay if you’re visiting during the weekKid-friendliness: There’s chickens in the backyard, if that tells you anything :)

This is my new favorite place in St. Louis. The food is amazing, homestyle cooking. The portions are huge, leaving plenty to take for seconds. Angie was so friendly and spent time talking with us about their recipes. Don’t leave without picking out a few things from the bakery! Love, love, love. 10/10 will go back again.

My wife and I stopped by this morning before a four hour drive home for breakfast. I had the smoked pork chop with eggs and a biscuit, my wife a vegetable omelet. Both were fantastic, the portions were large and the prices very reasonable. The service was great. Highly recommend.

Best Cafe in all of St. Louise. Owner is awesome. Try the hot sauces they make from scratch with peppers grown in their garden. Everything we had was phenomenal!!

My husband and I ate there this morning for brunch. The portions were huge and delicious! I got the pancakes and they were massive! He got the country friend steak and potatoes and raves about how good it was. We got the gooey butter cake to go and it is the best gooey butter cake we have ever had!

Places like this are why I'm happy to live in St. Louis. Planted only minutes away from downtown sits a cozy little country style restaurant.Between the eclectic decor and very kind owners I felt like i was sitting down at their kitchen table for a farmers breakfast. There is a small bar off to the back with a lively bunch who seemed like regulars. Off to the side you'll notice a counter with fresh baked pies and bread. Everywhere you look you can feel how much love the owners put into this place.I find myself stumbling into restaurants, wiping sleep from my eyes, muttering coffee please, when most people are going on their lunch break. If you like afternoon brekkie like I do get the farmers choice breakfast. It samples a bit of everything, including either biscuits and gravy or a pancake. The sausage patties are hand made, not some frozen meat pucks. The bacon is THICC, the tattors are crispy, and you can tell the eggs are farm fresh. Their giant fluffy biscuits are even made from scratch. My favorite part of my experience was finding out they make all their hot sauces in house. The garlic Zucchini and mango habanero pack just the right amount of heat. They have an even hotter one which was a bit too much for me, but definitely not overbearing. If hot sauce isn't your thing they even have a smoked salsa you could try.Starting out at the Soulard Farmers Market in 2014 to opening a store front in 2020 these people have built a reputation for themselves and it's no question as to why. I felt like I got a real sense for who they are. Whether they're here serving up smiles or working on their actual farm they love what they do. I'm so happy to have stopped by and got the chance to meet the makers of this incredible establishment. If you're looking for somewhere new to eat this is definitely the spot.

Mauki’s food is 1st rate. Had waffle (Belgian and crispy outside soft inside) and breakfast sandwich, very large, with biscuit, egg, cheese, and bacon— so flavorful. Excellent! Owners were on premises, working, and putting in extra effort to serve up a great breakfast for us.

Stopped for breakfast this past Sunday morning. There were 4 of us and we had the Biscuits and gravy, Humpty Dumpty sandwich, loaded waffles, and a pancake. Each dish was better than the last. And such large servings. Cannot recommend this place enough. SO good!!
