“If you are like casual atmosphere of Mediterranean cuisine and its taste - this is the place for you. Plenty of parking as they are located on large plaza. Small space inside and few tables outside. They offer to go food as well. Tandoori chicken with salad was prepared well and variety of sauces add flavor. Bureki is unique to Europe and Asia - they offer them with meat, cheese and potatoes. But It is courtesy of the owner and taste of the food that stands out. Pita + really reminded the place that you find during travels in the new city that only locals know. So locals or guest of the city - I recommend trying food here.“

“If I could bottle the feeling of joy that comes from an unforgettable meal and serve it to the world, it would taste exactly like Olympia Kebob House & Taverna. Nestled on McCausland in the heart of St. Louis, Olympia is more than just a Greek restaurant,it’s an experience, a destination, and for those of us lucky enough to know it, a weekly ritual. From the moment you walk in, something shifts. You’re no longer in Missouri. The aromas, the laughter, the ambiance, they transport you to a lively taverna in the hills of Athens. And then the food arrives. We started with the Taverna Potato Peels (crispy, golden, addictive). Add a side of Tzatziki, and you’re in trouble (the best kind). Honestly, just go ahead and order extra Tzatziki. You’ll want it with everything. You’ll want it by the spoonful. You’ll wonder how a yogurt-based sauce can make you this emotional. Then came the Gyro Deluxe, a masterpiece of flavor, texture, and satisfaction. It doesn’t just set the bar, it is the bar. The Deluxe Chicken Shish Kebob Platter followed, with juicy, perfectly charred meat and a balance of herbs and seasoning that would impress even the most traditional Greek yiayia. On the side? Spanakorizo… a Greek spinach rice dish that sounds simple but hits with soul. Every bite was warm, fragrant, and comforting in the way that only true home-cooked food can be. And just when we thought we couldn’t be impressed further: Chocolate Bak-Lava. Rich. Decadent. Crisp. Sublime. I’ve traveled. I’ve eaten Greek food in several cities. And yet somehow, nothing prepared me for Olympia. That first time I ate there, I found myself shaking my head after nearly every bite, not because anything was wrong, but because I could never had been prepared for this experience. And the service? As stellar as the food. The staff is genuine, warm, and clearly proud to be part of something this special. They treat you like family, but more importantly, they seem to mean it. If we lived closer, we’d be there twice a day. As it is, we’re still making the trip once or twice a week without fail. That’s how good Olympia is. It’s not just a restaurant. It’s a place that makes you feel thankful, thankful for the food, the people, and the joy of discovering a place that just gets it all so right. Olympia, thank you for what you do. You’ve earned every word of this. THANK YOU!“
“I am always so excited to see Cham Bakery at the WashU Farmer's Market. The first time I went I spent quite a bit of money but not because they are expensive but because I bought a lot. The Zaatar bread, Cheese Pide are exceptional. (I would have taken a picture of the Pide I bought today but sadly it was gone too soon. No, I didn't drop it. I ate it. ) The pita was great, the eggs were cooked perfectly and the seasoning was fantastic! The woman working the table is so polite and friendly. I believe her husband gets up early in the morning to bake. YES!! It's THAT fresh!!I'm looking forward to trying their hummus and other tasty morsels.I honestly can't recommend this food enough!!“

“Amazing food - best Persian-style cuisine in STL so far and some of the best anywhere we've traveled. Saffron chicken kebab was beyond tender and so flavorful. Their version of biryani was delicious, too, and the gyro was solid. The sambosas were a great starter, and even the fries that came with the gyro were good. We'll be back to try more dishes soon!“

“The service and atmosphere was very simple, no frills; the food, however, was exceptional -- well seasoned and fresh.
I ordered the Emperor Platter (Combination/Sampler that offers a great variety)
It comes in two course:
(1) Naan bread, Shirazi salad (light and fresh with a nice cucumber crunch), eggplant burani (very hardy/savory, spice rich), and yogurt (on the side/excluded for nondairy restrictions).
(2) Beef, chicken, and lamb (all well seasoned), stew, tomato, and a very sweet/savory rice (hints of cinnamon, topped with raisins, very balanced flavor profiles).
Seems to be a generous amount of food for the cost. Quaint.“

“Moving reviews over from Yelp. This was the ROTD on 7/8/18 in St Louis:
Wow did I love my lunch at this place! Seriously...I've spent a fair amount of time in the Middle East and this place produced food that took me right back.
I took a sip of their hot tea, served with sugar as it should be, and immediately flashed back to sitting on the ground having tea and discussing things that don't get repeated on Yelp. Two sugars and hold the little glass cup by the top and bottom so you don't scorch yourself. Yep, just like over there except no chips in the rim of the glass to watch out for.
One bite into my kefta and I could almost see a dude in a dishdasha hand-cranking a fan to stoke the flames of whatever he found to burn on a piece of I-beam so that he could cook up a skewer of meat while I waited. A thick stream of smoke blowing across the street to make everyone's mouth water just from the smell of the meat grilling. Yep - it was THAT taste.
Of course, there was spice too. And a garlic aioli dipping sauce for the fries that just plain rocked.“
