INCREDIBLE! Visiting from out of town for work and looked up St Louis pizza spots on Reddit.
WOW. Blown away! I had The Sandy. It was homemade Italian sausage, roasted tomatoes and garlic. Not to mention the generous amount of sausage on each square cut, but the amount of sauce and cheese was perfect. Thin crust that was the right amount of crisp on the edges. You could taste the freshness of this pizza and the high quality ingredients. I’ve never had anything like this.
The make everything in order it comes in and sometimes that means you’ll wait 30 - 40 minutes for the pizza. Worth it for a truly fantastic pizza and to support local places like this.
I found the old rustic basement it was in to be very homey and authentic. I’m a fan! Also the service is top notch. Be friendly and you’ll get an amazing experience.

Took 1 hour and 45 minutes to get food. We ordered 3 pizzas for a party of 7, and some chicken tenders for 2 kids. They seemed busy and we were talk for first hour and waitress kept coming by to refill drinks and check in. At the 45 minute mark we asked about timing especially the kids food, she said pizzas were next and could go ahead and bring out kids food to prevent meltdown which was appreciated. At the 1 hour mark the waitress stopped coming by. No more drinks or water refills, she would walk by but never stop. Several other tables that came in well after us got their food and even were done eating. At the 1 hour 40 minute mark I asked to talk with waitress. Another lady came out, I’m assuming manager, and snapped at us that we ordered 3 pizzas and that they prioritize single pizza orders since they can only cook 6 at a time. That should be communicated or given option to have them come out one at a time within 20 minutes rather than an hour and 45 minutes. Pizza was decent, not great.

Well hell. Probably some of the best pizza I've ever had. I mean , it's fantastic. Freaking delicious. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Was quoted 30 minutes for a table, three other partys walked in a sat down before us, after we have already been waiting 20 to 25 minutes, and then Waited on a table for 40 minutes , placed the pizza order when arrived waiting on the table. I understand it was very busy.. but the Pizza was burnt when it came out , not how it looks on other tables or the other reviews.. 1st time going there. Fiance had this place with his boss this week for delivery and wanted me to come try it with him in person.. no one asked how the pizza was, i didnt wanna have the pizza remade because we already waited all that time. Not sure if we will give it another try or not , also live 35 minutes away to come out here to try it.
Edit : We rarely get date nights , and chose this place out of 500 other places to dine at.
Edit REPLY TO THE COMMENT : and for you to know which pizza and which table i was talking about gives me no doubt you knew the pizza was not servable worthy because there was 5 other single couples in the building at the time. the pizza my fiance got wednesday was not burnt and didnt look bad as the one that was delivered to the table. The pizza didnt look like the pizzas on other tables and on the google review photos... the people sitting next to us even EYED the pizza we got delivered to our table. We simply kept the peace, paid, and left.. was not willing to waste more time getting it remade and more night wasted and more stress put on anyone else..

Imagine a very well-done Imos pizza, and you pretty much have the gist of the offerings here. Unfortunately the pies are smaller and cost more than Imos. The pizza I got was tasty, but this will be a one-and-done experience for me.

Food was great. Had a long wait but was able to put our pizza order in while we waited in the two chairs that were available. Exactly what I expected from looking at the pictures loud from the hustle of busy st louis ppl getting off work. Salad was okay. T-ravs where light and flavorful. Weird parking (we got 7 inches of snow two days ago).

This was my first time here and the pizza was really good. Cute lil family biz establishment where the service was top tier. The only draw was it was in the basement of a building where the door wouldn't close properly so we had to get up and close it or ask whoever would come through to close behind them. It was too COLD for fresh air. Parking is also scarce, but its alot of traffic in and out so keeps options open.
A legendary local restaurant fortunate enough to have caring new owners to carry on the Monte Bello traditions. You cannot find this crust and seasoning anywhere else. Picked up a large Johnny B and could have been more pleased. Actually slipped on ice carrying in and the pizza flipped 360 and landed bottom side down. Pizza was intact held together with the extra cheese. Plenty of toppings was 1 comment by someone helping eat it. I grew up eating here and visiting from out of town.

Absolutely amazing pizza from a restaurant that's been around for decades! Had the arancini for an appetizer which was delicious and the Montebello Special pizza which was outstanding! A must try!

We ordered no onions on half of the pizza and the nice lady that called us to make sure we didn't have onion allergy... That was over and above great customer service. Been waiting to try this place for a looong time now and it was yummy too. Perfect seasoning and the crust was crispy and had a flavor I never tasted.
