My wife and I went to Nixta last light for her birthday. We cannot say enough rave reviews! The atmosphere was romantic, chic and cozy. The food was EXCELLENT considering that I normally do not like Mexican food. The fish tacos and chicken tacos were superb. The tortilla chips were so good and the flan was the topping to a great night.
The reopened Nixta on Delmar is a delight! We enjoyed our guacamole app, hamachi aguachile, mixto ceviche, al pastor tacos, & carne asada tacos. Everything was tasty but the tacos were particularly outstanding. The sweet and savory balance from the al pastor tacos left us craving another helping. We cannot wait to return and try a few more dishes off the revamped menu. Bravo, Ben! This new location is sure to be a hit.
I don’t even know where to start with this review…. The restaurant is very hot, humid, and muggy. Not sure what the vibe and atmosphere was supposed to be? Mexican restaurant with beach decor?
And good luck if you’re ordering salsa AND guacamole, you only get one basket of chips (not even filled up all the way) for $4 and $8 for guacamole. Couldn’t even finish them because we ran out of chips. The ceviche comes with ONE singular chip for the whole bowl. Just not...
