This place is terrible ordered a pan pizza and they gave it to someone else. Had to catch a train and there was no one to give me a refund. THAT IS TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

You people didn't answer my phone call for a total of 15minutes between me and my girlfriend calling y'all. I had called 4x and y'all finally answered and hung up. That's ignorant your location should be shut down. I have never been so pissed off over food service in my life. To be blatantly ignored is ignorant.

Tucked away in a quiet corner of the Gateway Station terminal for Amtrak and Greyhound busses is a small food court that contains a Pizza Hut and KFC (Express, so don't even think about ordering a bucket of chicken or a 2-topping medium pizza) plus some kind of local deli concession. Positives include a 10% discount if you're a public sector employee and the fact that the KFC cooks food pretty much to order, so your extra crispy chicken tenders or potato wedges will always come out piping hot from the fryer. Negatives include the ambiance, which is depressingly post-industrial and sterile. Also whatever you're going to order is almost guaranteed to be a salt bomb, so be aware of that. Ever since Union Station forcibly evicted their lone tenant Subway from the food court this is the closest option for a small pocket of government cronies who don't want to trudge all the way to washave or market and tucker for lunch.

had a hankering for munchies while we waited to board a train in St. Louis. Right as we ordered a #6 KFC combo to share, the conductor announced boarding for our train. The cashier asked us if that was us, and we were like yeah, so he walked back and asked the cook to rush our order, and it was out in 2 minutes! Now THATS service. And when we asked for an array of sauces, the cook gave us a diverse sampling and apologized for some reason. No need to apologize- love the hospitality! Oh, and the mac n cheese was flavorful, unlike at most KFCs, and the popcorn chicken was crisp on the outside and tender on the inside.

This place is located in the Gateway Transportation Center that houses Greyhound and Amtrak. Okay I tried The Pizza Hut Express out of sheer accessibility and I promise it will not happen again. Ordered a cheese pizza combo as I didn't want to chance eating the food on the train. The pizza had a cool buttery crust but the actual pizza itself was pure trash. Hardly any sauce and the sodium level was on a million percent - I have never eaten such salty pizza. I think this was just confirmation from the Universe that this wasn't what I should be doing/eatting and I will follow suit in the future.

Quick plain food before you jump onto Greyhound or Amtrak. It has Kentucky Fried Chicken Express and Pizza Hut Express. Both offer popular food to grab before taking off on your trip at the Gateway Station. They offer about 5 different personalized pizzas and the KFC offers wings, tenders and popcorn chicken with fries. They also have pre-prepared deli sandwiches and some salads. All provide a quick lunch/snack before you get on board a train or bus. It is not a place worth the trip, it's only worth is before your trip.
