If you enjoy dried out chicken breast, you will love the menu choices. Eat a big breakfast. At least that is palatable. Otherwise, you will be hungry the rest of the day. The thin pizza is ok. The only beef option is a burger that has the same texture as the bun it's on. They really need to consider a salad selection and some other meat choices.

Stood at the counter of the burger area at Barnes cafeteria today, waiting to order. The gentleman working that area (Maurice) walked right past my girlfriend and I to wait on a lady who we watched walk in after us. We remained patient. Once Maurice waited on the customer, we were still standing at the counter waiting to place our order. Once again, Maurice, walked right my us and waited on a gentleman who walked into the cafeteria 5 minutes after we did. We spoke to the supervisor on duty (Chris). He said to let us know if Maurice continued to behave this way. As a former worker in retail grocery sales, I believe Maurice needs a serious talk about the importance of customer service. He was one of the rudest service workers I have ever encountered.

Stood at the counter of the burger area of Barnes cafeteria earlier today trying to order. The gentleman behind the counter (Maurice) walked past me and my girlfriend to wait on a lady whom we watched walk in way after we did. We remained patient. Once he took care of her, we were still standing at the counter ready to order. Once again, Maurice, walked past us to take the order of a gentleman who arrived 5 minutes after we did. We asked Maurice at that point why he had refused to take our order. He stated that the other people had been there first. Both Maurice and I know this is simply not the truth. This gentleman is VERY rude. I spoke to the supervisor on duty (Chris), who said to let him know if Maurice continued to act this way. Maurice definitely needs a talk about good customer service and being outright rude.

This is on the food delivered to the floors to the patients that some would call the cafeteria food, although they have many kitchens at Barnes and while related may not actually be the same as the food the visitors would receive walking in to the cafeteria.I am on special diets and I found the food to be excellent. I was able to request a green salad with lunch and dinner and greatly appreciate the accommodation that I received. I was on a consistent carbohydrate diet, and it offered me more carbs in the way of breads than I usually choose at home, but that was no problem, I just left those items on the plate. The selections were good and the food warm upon arrival. They do have a limited selection of items that can be substituted for the daily chef specials of the two meal choices that you are given. In all truth, it was nice not having to cook or figure out what to eat for a couple days. Food was fresh and had good flavor though lacking salt, so luckily I could add that to the food when it arrived in my room. While it is true that 'There's no place like home,' I greatly appreciate the efforts of those working in the kitchen to make my stay pleasant and with tempting offerings.

Overpriced for patient families. Pitiful selections and lack no lines and wait times. Use Uber Eats and get a decent $8.00 salad somewhere else

This is a hospital cafeteria...of course it "could've been better". I had a philly cheesesteak sandwich. It was food. It tasted like something. Will I be coming back? I think that is unavoidable.
