Sams southern eatery St Louis

Sam’s Southern Eatery serves excellent bodega-style food with generous portions and great flavor. The fish is the standout—always fresh, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. I frequently get it and highly recommend it. The chicken and shrimp are also solid choices. However, I don’t recommend the po’ boy—it wasn’t even served on normal bread. Overall, a great spot for Southern comfort food!

Ordered online spent $60 and fries were soggy like they were boiled, missing 3 sodas that came with the meal as well. And the salad is a container of lettuce tomato onion and pickles very odd salad.

I paid for extra meet and sauce with my meal.. was charged but didnt receive any.. my gyro didnt have sauce and was sold old limp fries.. MY MEAL WAS 25 BUCKS WORTH OF DISAPPOINTMENT

The food here was great! The flavor was nice and it was fresh. I got the fish plate with shrimp and fries all of which was seasoned to perfection. The only two things that were a miss for me is I thought it was a sit down restaurant. It's more so of a store. The other thing was my second piece of fish was undercooked so I couldn't finish it. Overall it was a good experience & I would go back. I'd just make sure they fry my fish hard. ?

This is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is great. I Love their fried green tomatoes, fresh salads, chicken and fish ...The crew there is really nice. They also have slot machines there to enjoy.

Sam's does bodega grill food like nowhere else. Their fish is crispy and delicious. Their portions are huge. You get a free soda with every meal. Oh! And you can buy your rillos here. 10/10 bodega.

Truly, a neighborhood friendly joint. I'm frankly impressed by the immediate willingness of the staff to engage in earnest to help a neighbor... A neighbor who they did not personally know. Bravo, Sam's. You get my vote.
