Waaberi is a hidden gem, a homely restaurant with delicious Somali food. Their goat meat with rice is a must-try, with generous portions that can last for two meals. The menu offers curries, samosas, and friendly service from the owner-chef. The goat entree might be a bit gristly, but the flavors are spot on. The samosas are a killer appetizer, especially when paired with their hot sauce. This luncheonette-style eatery on South Grand strip is still a work in progress, but definitely worth a visit for authentic Somali/African cuisine. Waaberi is hands down the best Somali restaurant around with authentic food that tastes just like home, excellent service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Every dish is full of flavor and made with care. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they take pride in what they do. It's a great value with enough food for leftovers.
