Our dining experience was … exhausting. We checked in at 10:50am and asked where we might grab a drink while we waited. Rather than ask what we like and pass the info to a server, we were told “so we don’t actually have a bartender but SOMETIMES if you stand near the bar someone MIGHT help you”
Ok. After waiting 50 minutes waiting by the bar without anyone asking if we’d like a drink we stopped a server and asked could we please get a drink . Finally at 12;00 we were seated and ordered . At 12:40 we finally got some food , which honestly was small in size and way too spicy & smoky. The outdoor waiting area is grungy and dirty, the chairs were filthy. The inside was fine and bustling but the wait time for what we got was terrible. Not worth it. Disappointing

This was a few years ago. I took a couple friends from out of town to Southwest Diner for brunch. I bought them all a Bloody Mary while we waited well over an hour for a table. When we tried to order drinks we were told the owner advised the waitress not to serve us alcohol. I was told it was because I brought in my water bottle. I explained that it’s just water and it’s incredibly hot outside to be waiting without water. They refused to serve us anything but food and soft drinks. It was the worst restaurant experience i have ever had and it was embarrassing to take my guests to such a place. I will never go back to this restaurant.

Absolutely Fantastic. Good spice level if you like that and great service. Even the drinks were tasty!

One of my favorite breakfast places in Saint Louis. The staff is absolutely amazing. Go to's are the breakfast burrito christmas style or the fiery scramble, but seriously, everything is delicious.
An essential brunch staple in St Louis. Be prepared for an exorbitantly long wait. But just know that the wait is very worth the result.

I love this spot . It brings back fond memories of the time I ate here with my grandad before taking my NREMT Exam. It was awesome . I loved waiting on the cute little bus and the food was good. Will be back to visit again soon 🖤

Everything is fantastic but pancakes stole the show! I have never eaten pancakes like these in my whole life. I would want to come back again just for the pancakes.

Nice diner atmosphere. The service was good. I was a disappointed in the flavor of the food, however. It had lots of heat, but seemed to be lacking a depth of flavor and freshness. The chocolate malt was great.

I would advise the country fried steak the best i have ever had. It gets super busy, so busy infact it is hard to even order to go (sometimes i have had to call 6 plus times to get an answer) food is that good they arent even worried about it. So be ready to wait but it's worth your time.
