20260608 I am vacationing in STL and having dinner with 10 of my friends and coworkers. I checked the weather and it looks like it will clear up. Never been to this restaurant and not familiar with the STL area. I called at 2:45 pm to inquire if the patio will be sunny or shading around 5. Not sure if the building will create a shady area of the patio. I was told by the woman who answered the phone that they are not sure if the patio will open up, depending on the weather, and that they have umbrellas. She didn't say if it will be sunny or not. I completely understand the patio being closed due to weather. Then she hung up... but the call didn't disconnect... I heard a woman voice saying something like... Are you kidding me? Is the patio sunny... etc... unless I misheard, that's pretty rude. I'm taking my dinner party to a different restaurant.

Talk about a classic St. Louis institution! I love it here. No frills, just good food, good people, and a place that feels genuinely local. The memorabilia covering the walls makes it feel like one big St. Louis hug.

The food was good. I really liked the flame broiled burger. The blackened chicken sandwich was good too. Service was OK.
We were crammed into a super small area. Amazing how the waitresses move around the room. The history and memorabilia were cool.

Nice, cozy sports bar with lots of memorabilia and photos of old Sportsman’s Park. Food was tasty and service in the bar was friendly.

Surprisingly unpretentious old-school bar in Ladue with reasonable prices.

Terrible case of food poisoning from the turkey burger. I mean, truly horrible. Still weak 36 hours later. It started as I was paying the bill and barely made it home. I canceled a business lunch the next day thinking (correctly) I would not recover in time. The person I was supposed to meet told me he knew of a similar recent food related illness issue at the same restaurant. Do we even have a public health agency in this county?!

The daytime atmosphere is great. By far the best thing about the day staff is the bartender Lauren. Great service by her and super sweet....
