Nice place to sit outside if the weather is good

This was boys' night out sort of. It started with a call from my older brother and trying to reach out to get me and my younger brother together because our spouses went to dinner. So we decided to go somewhere and out of the blue my sister's partner texted me to see what was going on. Long story short, we met and drove to Sportsmans Park to meet my younger brother. The restaurant is known for its turkey chili. I tasted my brothers it was good but had a little kick (spicy perhaps Shiracha sauce). I had the Sportsman's Burger with the steak fries. The fries were crisp on outside and tender in the middle. The burger was cooked medium the way I like it. It came with tomato soft cheddar cheese and thousand island dressing . This was a Thursday night, and we had a 30-minute wait. The weather was great 70-degree weather. we sat outside the patio till a table cleared. Our server was courteous and professional. Not a bad night for being spontaneous. Enjoy your night and spend it at Sportsman's Park.

Live this local place. Have to accept that it’s small but great beyond that.

Okay, STL, how lucky are we to have such a great lunch spot??!! Service is always excellent even when it's toasty outside -- right, Pamela? -- still so friendly, professional and fast. Terrific menu with everything tasting better from their grill. A+ setting on a day like this with a light breeze. Super prices. Still the gem it's always been!!

Classic establishment. They don’t make them like this anymore, and there is no way to recreate decades of wear and tear and memories. Chicken tendies are amazing, potato skins are hand cut every day, and vibe is glorious. Highly recommend.

Classic American sports pub. Elevated fare. Ladue crowd. Good bar to watch a game. Smallish place, but friendly and local.

Kid-friendliness: Dining room is kid friendly. Bar can be loud.

The food here continues to be excellent. It’s well executed, flavorful, hot. No complaints. My beef is with the service. It seemed like they had staff. Just things are not firing on all cylinders. They do so much take out and there is no space for it. It took forever to get sat even though there were tables available because the hostess was busy taking and handing out to go orders. Then when we did sit down our server spent like 30 seconds with us, we couldn’t get refills on soda or order beers. It was a busy Saturday night and I’m happy to extend some latitude to accommodate a peak time. But, if you’re missing sales because your server isn’t there to take an order for a beer, that’s uncool.

We’ll definitely be back… but for the love of all things chicken tendies …. Hire a front of house manager.
