My daughter brought Chicken Viryani home for dinner Saturday. There was mostly rice and hardly any chicken, big box of rice. Jollof rice? We will not be going back there. No big deal on taste. Not a fan.

I am so sad to write this as originally this was my favorite spot to pick up any food from for two whole years! Taste of India has been changing its serving sizes to much smaller portions, but I get it, everywhere has been doing that. They have also been changing recipes, its a little sad but the food was still good. But I got the chicken mahkani and a serving of veggie samosas, veggie samosas were ok, but when I saw the mahkani I felt instantly off, tated it and though maybe they are just changing the recipe. I continued eating, with a little disappointment, feeling like my spot had changed too much for me. Then I found A HAIR A BLACK HAIR IN MY FOOD. way too long to be an eyelash, but not too long either. I now have terrible indigestion and food poisoning. I'm incredibly heartbroken and hope Taste of india goes back to its old cooking 💔

Don’t order take out here… they always put very little meat in their food. If I wanted to order just rice, I would have just asked for rice. I bought chicken biryani and there were like 1-2 pieces of chicken in there.

Good experience. One of the best Indian restaurants in town. Main dishes were excellent, plus great naans and lassis. Try the spicy tomato soup!

Got the chicken tika masala. Portions were generous, sauce was good and very spicy (I got the hottest option).
The chunks of chicken were bad. They used chicken breast instead of thigh so it was very dry. There was no charring and makes me wonder if they cooked it in a tandoor or not.
Rice pudding was delicious 😋.

Excellent restaurant with generous portions. The food was well seasoned and spicy level perfectly adjusted upon request. Polite and welcoming staff. Parking available on street with meters. Clean and fun decorated dining room with plenty of seating.

I ordered 1 Dal makhani and chana masala. The quantity was too less as per price. Not satisfied at all.

If you really craving for Indian food and there are not any other options then it’s ok. nothing special or wow factor. I do not think it’s fresh food. Service was good.

Taste great! But 4 out of 4 people got sick eating this. Never again.
The food was a bit disappointing. It was mild in flavor, a bit greasy and too salty.

My children and I LOVE the delicious food at Taste of India. It is always delicious and filling. We live in Illinois and make special trips to St Louis to eat here.
