More food options would be good but the scenery is awesome.

I originally wrote a very nice review of this hotel. I enjoyed our historic room and think the place is neat even though the toilet did not flush. I was happy until I realized I was charged for a upgrade I did not ask for. ALSO, I did not receive my food/beverage credit I should have as a Diamond member. I have tried to get a hold of Jackie twice since Hilton corporate will not help me. I checked in on my app so there is no way they can say I accepted the charges verbally. Anyway, it’s a neat old place but not worth the crazy price AND you don’t even ever get to hang out in the area with the light show because there are private events every night. My advice, look at your charges BEFORE you leave.

Mini fridge was useless and no refreshments, only a bottled water I was given at check in. Maybe a better map and instructions on where things are and how to get there could be helpful. Our pull out sofa had no bedding sheets, not even in the closet.

This is a nice area to walk around. There are several options for eating and shopping. The pond has huge koi fish anxiously waiting to eat treats. The area is beautifully landscaped with a comfortable walk way. Visit the aquarium, too.

This is a different property as it offers a train-themed environment as the hotel was built in the old union station in St. Louis. The main hall is beautiful and offers a unique "light show" at night. As with most hotels in the US these days there are issues with service everywhere you go, especially with properties in the 3-4 star range. Most of the employees we interacted with at this hotel were rude and not willing to provide good service. We found a big ball of hair in the restroom in one of the rooms we booked and dirty glasses in the hallway. The team in charge of servicing the rooms was not nice at all, they seemed bothered that we requested our rooms to be cleaned. Dining options were limited and the quality of the food was average. This is a large property and is located within the union station complex so it works for families with kids. The area around the hotels is nice with some fountains and parks but unfortunately there is a large population of homeless people so I would caution against walking around, especially at night. Property has a pool but the guest mix there was "interesting". Overall a functional property, average accommodations with service below average.

Our plan was to stay here and enjoy the amenities for one night, but as we arrived our plans changed suddenly. We went to the front desk and were greeted by Kat, a remarkable individual who helped us through our dilemma with courtesy and kindness. As we asked about the property, Kat enthusiastically offered to give us an impromptu tour of this magnificent and historical property. She was not only accommodating, but excited to tell us about the history of this unique property. That she took the time out of her day to explain the amazing history of this hotel was touching. Although we didn’t stay here, Kat O. made the day extraordinary. Having stayed here in the past, you can’t go wrong.

Union Station is a beautiful building however Hilton has not done a good job maintaining and utilizing the space. Very disjointed and terribly mismanaged. Super disappointed and would definitely not consider this a Curio Collection--other than they are in an old train station which is a historic building. The rooms were tired, the building is massively underutilized, and I felt we genuinely overpaid for our room. The staff were polite and kind, however the facilities were mismanaged.

This is a beautiful, historic complex with lots to see and do but the bad: A) No (zero, ) help with luggage at check in or check out. It is a winding maze in a different floor to get to the desk. B) Weird, unfriendly attitude from front desk at check in. C) We think that the front desk clerk purposely sent us in the wrong direction, in the wrong part of the complex, with all of our luggage, to find our room, to be funny or playing some odd game. It seemed like both desk clerks thought it was funny. *I read in another review that the desk clerks did this to others and I thought that it was a joke until they did it to our family. D) We asked for our room to be cleaned several times and it never happened. No cleaning, maid service, coffee for our expensive suite room, for the whole 3 days we were there. The good: The restaurant has a new menu that everyone in the family seems to like. The Club room had great employees that were very nice offering snacks, and breakfast. The front desk, and Bellman could learn something about being kind and friendly from these people. In short the employees at this Hotel could use training in hospitality because there was none.

Enjoyable stay with room for improvement! We stayed for a little staycation for two nights on a weekend. A reoccurring issue that seemed to happen was unclear/not explained processes/amenities which started when we arrived. When you arrive there's multiple entrances and parking lot is on the side. I didn't want to park far away and then lug my luggage in so I parked at valet and asked them if I could leave my car there whilst I checked in. They allowed it, but it wasn't clear if this was normal process or what. No signage or clear indication. When we checked in, the employee was very friendly and gave us some paperwork about the history of the building. And they let us check in early. However, no information about where the pool is, where fitness center is, restaurants, or how to get to the aquarium was provided. We just wandered around and figured it out. No info on housekeeping or checkout. No offer to help with luggage either in or out. No info was provided about the really cool light shows in the main hall that we just happened to stumble upon later. Overall, it just seemed very much like you check in and they say here ya go and you're totally cut loose. I'm one to figure things out pretty well but this is a very confusing building with lots of disconnected parts so guidance would be super helpful. Also, for the price I would expect a little more boutique/personalized experience. We booked an executive courtyard room. Upon booking I selected the grand hall luxury room as optional add on if they have available for a bit more $. At check in, I mentioned this but it wasn't really acknowledged. So honestly I didn't know what room I got until I got in the room. We ended up getting the grand ball luxury room (and paid the additional $ for) which was beautiful! The hardwood floors, gorgeous bed, updated bathroom and the room is BiG. Decor is on point - historic but updated/polished. However - the layout is awkward. The TV is at an angle and far from the bed which was the biggest drawback. It was hard to watch and change channels from bed. Volume would never go down despite showing on TV it was decreasing.. I didn't bother calling to inquire about that. The executive lounge was a let down. I didn't realize for the weekend it is ONLY open for breakfast. During the week they have other times mid day and evening they're open. If I knew that, I would have selected a regular room with breakfast which I believe is at one of the on site restaurants (vs. the lounge) and I've heard is much better. The lounge breakfast was powdered eggs, soggy potatoes, and rubbery bacon. They did have a variety of choices at least. The second day I only ate a muffin. For the cost for two nights - almost $800 including valet parking which we ended up selecting - I would expect a lot more. That said - there are good things! While it's hard to navigate, the building is gorgeous!! It's historic and they did a nice job keeping original touches but updating. The light show in the grand hall is so cool. There is a pool and it's good. The location can't be beat! It's in the same space as the aquarium and all the other union station amenities. We loved our time at union station exploring and had things to do everyday. Overall I'm glad we stayed to have the experience and for convenience, but it's a one and done for me. Next time I'd choose a hotel that's cheaper and/or more attentive customer service. There are lots of choices in the area that are pretty close so that shouldn't be an issue.

I stayed here 16 years ago and was excited to see it again. The pros: close to downtown, gorgeous external views, historical building, and an AC that cranks out the cold air. The front desk personnel are very attentive as well. Lastly, its attached to the STL aquarium and has great food options right nearby. The cons: our first room had a puddle on the hardwood due to the air conditioner leaking. We were moved to an upgrade, which was smaller but in the clock tower. From our room we could hear the light and rock show in the lobby, whether we wanted to or not. We had access to the concierge lounge for breakfast but apparently so did everyone else. It was packed, little food, and no where to sit. We went by again later and the only thing available was coffee. If you are thinking about staying here and paying for an upgrade, I'd recommend against it. Not worth the money in my opinion. Also, parking is 35.00 a day for self parking. The shower has weird temperature control and the flow is weak.

Having grown up in St. Louis County, but visiting St. Louis many times over the years, my wife and I wanted to enjoy a trip to the Union Station Hotel. It was magnificent - not only the architecture, which of course is well known, but the: 1) Staff - unfailingly polite and helpful 2) Station Grill Restaurant - excellent food, perfectly prepared, at extremely reasonable prices 3) Staff (again) - again, unfailingly polite and extremely engaging/witty bartender Celester at the Grand Hall bar A trip my wife and I will remember and repeat.

Nice little spot to grab a bite or a coffee. Make sure to check out the train in the middle of the area.

We stayed at union station Hilton lastnight and had a great visit! The room was clean and beds very comfortable. Staff was wonderful and breakfast delious! Thank you for a great stay! Bonus was there was so much to do onsite we didnt even need to leave the hotel grounds!

This was a once in a lifetime trip for my family. When we arrived no one greeted us or directed us where to go check in. Once we finally found check in, we were told, our room was no longer available. We had booked this trip 6-8 months ago, with that room specific. We were staying in this location 5days and we didn’t want a standard room, hence why we splurged, only to not even have it. The pool was unkept and smelled like smoke from the smoking lounge nearby. Terrible experience. The staff was not at all helpful or friendly.

The entire place smelled and felt like a swamp. Musty and old. Our first room leaked water from the windows. They had a wedding in the lobby and the rent a cops they hired had no idea where to direct guests to get them to their rooms. Honestly, it was like the hotel had never hosted a wedding and had hotel guests, it was a mess. If they would have given us a refund I would have gone home after the first night but management was so overwhelmed by the wedding they could have cared less about anyone else. But Hilton doesn’t care, they got their 1500 bucks and management refused to offer even a partial refund. Attached is one leaky window for your viewing pleasure.
