We've been coming to Soulard Farmers Market for 20 years. Lots of great vendors. However there are fewer local farmers than ever. I'm sure the pandemic has cut reduce the number of people making it harder for a small farmer to make a profit. The ones that were present on our minds st recent trips have wonderful fresh produce. I happened on to Soulard Farmers Market in Saint Louis COMPLETELY BY ACCIDENT - and wow what's a find!!! This is exactly why I advocate for building down time into a travel schedule, and being flexible & "rolling with it," so that when you discover something really super cool you'll have the bandwidth to take it in! Food good but soup was put Styrofoam tray.. not in bowl with cover to go. Soup leaking in bag before we left and told them so. They didn't care. They got the money for the overpriced soup.
