I was not impressed with their good. The Kung pow chicken was just peppery and it was full of unnecessary veggies and the sauce and no flavor. The crab ragoon was okay but very greasy more than usual of a crab ragoon and sweeter in flavor that I am used to. Overall was not impressed . Food looks fun just not the Chinese I am used to.

Well I had my usual Chinese craving that always comes at least once a month. It had been a couple days before I could finally get the time to go get some Chinese. Luckily, for me when this time came I was door dashing in U-City, because I came across this hidden gem. The restaurant itself looks very deceiving, but I had read the reviews so I knew better. I ordered the dinner special broccoli chicken and was surprised that I could add Lo Mein instead of the traditional rice as a side. It was $3 more but well worth it. It also came with a spring roll which was the only thing that I wasn't impressed with. The whole meal cost just under $14 which was well worth it. I also will say this, I ordered carry out and walked quite away back to my car. When I did get back to my car, and went to eat my food, it was so hot that if I hadn't tested it first, it would have given me 3rd degree burns in my mouth. No joke! I have no idea how they had gotten my food so hot, but it was by far the hottest food I've ever experienced and it took quite awhile for it to cool down enough to even begin to eat it. With all this said, this by far was the best Chinese food I've ever eaten! And I've eaten at a lot of different Chinese restaurants. I believe the gravy the food was prepared in was what made the difference and off the chain delicious. I would highly recommend eating here often and yes as soon as I'm anywhere near U-City I'll be stopping in to get more food from here. 5 stars all day long!

My first time trying them, and I absolutely love the veggie fried rice and the veggie spring rolls. A little expensive but worth it. They have a small dine in section, which is always clean. But I took my food to go. I will most definitely be trying them again. Also, I’m a vegetarian.

Tried several dishes and wasn't impressed with most. The orange and sesame chicken were chewy and more bread than meat. The Mongolian beef lacked flavor and the crab rangoon was over fried. The only good dishes I liked was the lo mein and the fried rice. The fried rice wasn't dry and had excellent flavor.

This is a restaurant that we have visited twice!
Basically it provides both American Chinese food and authentic Chinese food because there are hand-written Chinese dishes on the blackboard. It does not offer large space, but it is so popular among students due to the home style flavor and the fast serving speed!! Tip is really an option here!!
Second, we are much more amazed with our first visit compared to the second visit due to the reasonable price and the specialties!
In our first visit, we ordered the braised beef brisket rice noodles 牛腩米线,and the fried bamboo shorts with shredded pork rice 笋干肉丝盖饭. I have never had the braised beef rice noodles with spicy broth for a long time in the mid southern USA!! So this is yummy with a reasonable price!!
In our second visit, we want to try the pork rib vermicelli 排骨米线 and the dish scallion beef stir-fry葱爆牛肉!They are not impressive at all!!
The vermicelli is the very thin-type rice noodles and the pork-rib has a very slight fishy smell with a bland soup taste! The dish does not offer larger portion with enough beef! We regretted that we did not order the 香干肉丝饭 pork with dry bean curd rice or 红烧牛腩盖饭 Braised Beef Brisket Rice Bowl!!
Overall, I would recommend the beef brisket rice noodles and all kinds of rice bowl, not the scallion beef stir-fry definitely!!!
Vegetarian options: There are vegetable dishes options
Parking: There are a limited number of free street parking!

I absolutely love the spicy boiled fish here, especially with the fragrant Sichuan pepper sprinkled on top. I used to always order the beef brisket rice noodles, but recently I've found that their stir-fried noodles and braised pork rice are also fantastic! My boyfriend's favorites are the braised pork with potatoes and braised beef brisket, while another friend swears by the fried chicken wings. I highly recommend trying all these dishes!
My favorite is boiled fish, the peppercorns sprinkled on top are invincible. I have been eating beef brisket rice noodles for a long time, and recently discovered that our fried rice noodles and braised pork rice are also very good! My boyfriend’s favorites are braised pork with potatoes and braised beef brisket. Another friend’s favorite was fried chicken wings. These are highly recommended!

Cozy spot. First time. Had a lot of options. Fried dumplings were great. Tried the house special fried rice. Very good rice. It does have peas and carrots, for those who aren’t a fan, but it’s still very good. Husband got the beef braised short ribs with potatoes on rice. Had a nice kick. Beef was very tender. He also tried the orange chicken with white rice. Everything was very good. Will try again!

Started with the fried spring rolls. Mushy inside, not much flavor. Good crunch.Singapore Mei Fun was tasty, but I ordered extra spicy and it was pretty much just regular, so if that's extra spicy, regular is probably bland. Not good enough to be a reason to return when there's is certainly some outstanding Singapore Mei Fun to be found in STL that's worth a drive. Now the shrimp and egg over rice was delicious. If I was already walking in the loop, I might swing back through but my impression of the reviews (lots of 5s even though those same reviews tell you what dishes not to get because they're not good) is that in this case the 4.6 overall is not a real sign of what to expect. The service was friendly and fast. Very nice people.

They can never get your order right. Everything's more bread than meat on the sesame chicken and everything else. What I wouldn't do just to find a good Chinese restaurant in the Del Mar Loop this certainly isn't it mediocre at best

I’ve been to Cate Zone, the other good Chinese place in STL. Two very different restaurants, but Vegas Wok edges them out. 10 (no need to add on to the bill since no waiters) bucks buys a fantastic beef plate with veggies and rice and an excellent crab Rangoon. Many other things on the menu, like pork and braised beef and scallops. All good. I’ve never been in a smaller restaurant but it never gets too busy to get a table.
Stopped in 2 different times, months apart. Both times delicious.
