Over charged!!!! Never will I go there in a group!
I've been to King Chef several times over the last 10 years and its been a good experience. Lately there have been some communication issues. If I ask for UN-sweet tea, no matter who the host is, they always hear sweet tea. They move so quickly I don't usually bother to correct them. But today I chose to make sure I got what I specifically asked for. Not everyone can carelessly drink sugary drinks, and I've wanted to be more conscious of that.

False menu pricing by manager's own admission. Charged me and my family dinner buffet pricing which increased the price by 3 dollars each, at 11am on a Saturday, when their menu specifically says lunch pricing is until 3:29pm on Saturdays.
Manager refused to revise price while openly admitting the menu is outdated, though no warning prior to the meal was given. Brought cost to over $50 for 3 buffet meals and drinks.

King's Chef Buffet offers a variety of hot and delicious food for around $15.65 per person, including large soda cups and drink refills. The restaurant is well-known for its buffet, especially around the University of Central Missouri, where many people visit for lunch, breakfast, and dinner. The food is generally fresh and tasty, with visitors often praising the quality, particularly the Chinese dishes like sushi, which some find very good and worth returning for. Customers appreciate the good value, as the price includes tax and drinks, making it a popular choice for many. However, some people mention a smell issue near the sushi section, suggesting bringing an aroma machine to improve the experience. The environment might feel uncomfortable to some, as there are reports of feeling watched by the owners and waitstaff. There have also been concerns about cleanliness and the smell, which could be improved. Despite these issues, many enjoy the variety and quality of the food, and some say they have visited multiple times because they love the place. However, the rising prices have made it difficult for some to visit as often as they would like. Overall, King's Chef Buffet remains a favorite spot for good food and value, but potential diners should consider the atmosphere and cleanliness.
