“We enjoyed another fabulous authentic Mexican dinner last week! The hot sizzling Pollo Cancun with cheese melted over shrimp, and chicken was wonderful!! Normally, I enjoy the Taco Salad in a Fried shell, my favorite, but wanted to explore the shrimp 🍤 and Chicken served on a sizzling oven plate. The Shrimp and Chicken with mushrooms far surpassed my expectations. Best of all, I talked to Scott and meet Sergio with the El Tio Pepe family all there helping and smiling. Thank you, again. “I have gotten food here numerous times dining in, taking out, or getting it delivered many different times of the day on many occasions and it is astonishingly consistent and good no matter what. I always get either the queso birria or the Texas rice bowl. Despite the phenomenal amount of meat they put in the rice bowl, the rice is honestly the best part, especially mixed with the green and red salsa’s. Best rice I have had in my life.

A recent discovery I made was the cheesecake chimichanga, which is only like 7 bucks and bigger than I thought it’d be. Its cold in the inside and hot and crispy on the outside. Honestly, you could make an entire restaurant serving only those cheesecake chimichangas. It is by far the best fast food desserts, and one of the best restaurant desserts I have ever had. Heaven has Abelardos cheesecake chimichangas.

Lastly, on an unrelated side note, a lot of the people here leaving one star reviews need to learn how stars work. One star is when there is no redeemable qualities in an establishment. Genuine filth. If you say “Food was good, but service sucks” and leave a 1 star review, you’re either confused or a moron. Thats like 2 stars at worst.

There is a very good reason the vast majority of reviews of this place are 5 stars. Stop going to El Maguey, just go here.“

“All it took was one visit here for us to know this was our new absolute favorite spot to eat! While my husband and I highly recommend the street tacos, my mother-in-law got the tamales and said they were “the best tamales ever!” We adore the staff here as well. Juan “Paco” is our FAVORITE! He is so sweet and kind. He remembered us the second we walked through the door! You can tell they love what they do there. Of course, don’t forget to grab a dessert (or 2!) while you’re there! Cheese baby, cheese!

I came here willingly for one reason, and only one reason: I saw someone's picture of a dish called Alhombre and had to try it. Think of it like this...they throw a handful of pieces of all of their meats (plus bacon) on a platter and then smother it is cheese sauce. Yep, kinda like a garbage pizza but made of Americanized Mexican food. The list included chicken, steak, fish, bacon and somehow a couple of shrimps even though they weren't listed on the menu as being part of the dish. There were some vegetables in there too but the dish could have used a bit more. Everything was cooked properly and very flavorful even without that luscious blanket of cheese laid over the top. Tortillas on the side along with the ubiquitous rice & beans.

We started with chips and salsa but the main event was the most memorable...until dessert arrived. The thing I love about flan is the drizzle of caramel sauce that usually accompanies the custard on the plate. There's never enough to allow a little bit with each bite. Not usually. Not ever - until this plate of flan arrives and it was absolutely swimming in caramel sauce (see picture). I was stuffed to the gills but actually contemplated ordering another one just to see if it would look the same. I held off but will certainly return if for no other reason than to have another flan.“

“Dos Primos has always been a family favorite as well as a community favorite. Mario is the friendliest and most generous man. He also only employs the highest quality people to work with him. “We tried this place for the first time last night and had such a great experience! The food was delicious. We got the birria tacos and steak tacos, and both were so good. The queso and salsa were great too! We also tried the cucumber jalapeño margarita, the Halloween margarita, and “The Best” margarita, and they were all worth trying! 🍹🌮

The service really made the experience even better. Nolan was our server, and he was so sweet, fun, and personable! We also got to meet August at the front, and she was just as sweet. The manager even came by to check on us and made me a special eyeball garnish for my Halloween drink using a lychee, a blueberry, and strawberry syrup. Such a fun and thoughtful touch that made the whole experience feel extra special! 👁️🎃

“This location is my favorite out of the 4 or so in the area. I usually order carry out since they are more affordable than fast food, 100x quicker, and 1000x more tasty.

The young gentleman who is usually there taking phone orders on weekday afternoons, looks to be 18 or so? He is so unbelievable nice and professional! It is so rare today, especially ordering carry out, to get someone who seems to genuinely care to make a great experience. Honestly haven't had genuine service in years, unfortunately. Even though so many are great and nice, some just have that special something and you know their amazing customer service skills will bring them so far in life. You honestly never know when a simple smile and genuine thank you can make someone's day - sometimes they needed that more than you know. Thank you to the great employee, and thank you to his trainers and people who obviously raised him right ❤“
