“Tequilas is the perfect spot for Taco Tuesday! The tacos are delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. Plus, their margaritas are some of the best I’ve had—perfectly balanced and refreshing. The owners are super friendly, making the experience even better. If you’re craving great tacos and margaritas, Tequilas is the place to be!“

“One of the biggest menus you’ll come across, El Maguey has just about everything you could want. They’ve been around for years, and it shows—they’ve got things down to a science. Service is lightning fast, so you’re not sitting around waiting, which is always a plus.
The portions are big, so you definitely won’t leave hungry. It’s a fun, laid-back place to eat, whether you’re with family or just grabbing a quick bite. The staff are friendly and polite, and the whole place just has a welcoming vibe.
Even after all this time, they’re still going strong in 2025, which says a lot. Solid food, quick service, and good portions—it’s easy to see why people keep coming back.“

“I can't say enough about this restaurant. It's the BEST! We go there a lot. We ate there 12/27/25. You get so much food with the Fajita dish that I always have to take half of it home. My husband mostly gets meals with shrimp and he too loves them. In getting to know them over the years is like gaining another family member. Maria even helped me get a great doctor for my husband. Service is always spot on. They always bring me me a frosted mug with my beer, without asking! Everyone is very friendly. If you like Mexican food you REALLY need to go there. Thank you everyone at DURANGO!!“

“Redey and Tyler were extremely helpful in getting my 4 taco 🌮 order together. I forgot to take an initial photo but my fave is a very slight edge to the surf and turf taco! A lot of meat and shrimp with the spot sauce. Delicious. The berria is right there as the tortilla is grilled. Excellent shred with the cilantro. The Asada steak is very tasty too but just couldn't jump the berria or surf and turf. Sorry the picture is almost post inhalation! With the amount of meat, they're very filling and fresh. Loved em and the service, too. No photo option for some reason. 🤔“

If we’d eaten all of the chips & salsa they brought out while we were waiting for our food, I don’t think we could have eaten everything!! Super generous basket of tortilla chips!“

“I've never been inside but the drive through for take away is great. Food is fresh and delicious with generous portions, even late night. I normally order online before going through the drive through, but they've always had our food ready when the site says it will be. The folks running the drive through are always very sweet“

“I had three bad experiences at global quesadilla on 141 and Clayton The first time I went in there they told me they don't accept cash. the second time I went in I got a quesadilla, some chips, and queso. the queso tasted awful. it tasted like warmed up canned cheese or something. I'd buy at the gas station but not the hot stuff in the dispenser that tasted better. And to be honest, there's nothing special about the quesadillas for the ingredients that go into it, the amount of time it takes to make and what they're charging for it. I find it ridiculous. if it's not going to taste good it should be cheap. at that point I'd rather make them at home. my third bad experience is a as a doordasher. after confirming the name of my customer, I proceeded to include my business card. global quesadilla doesn't own that food. that food was paid for by my customer. they have no right to tell me I can't put a business card with the food. the employee proceeds to yell at me multiple times to hand the food back to which I responded no twice and started walking out of the store. he proceeded to follow me out of the store continuing to yell at me and I had to tell him multiple times to back up/go inside / leave me alone. and if he touched me there's going to be a problem I shouldn't be in fear for my physical safety going into any establishment. they were also rude and unprofessional the first day I went in trying to pay with cash. how they've handled themselves multiple times is completely unacceptable. there's a reason why I only ate the food once. if I want Mexican food I'll make it myself or go to Taco Bell or a sit-down Mexican restaurant.“

“This place may not look like anything special, but the food here is quite good. The green salsa, while very spicy, is fantastic. I bought some for home and my family loves it! At least those who like spicy fare. It’s incredibly flavorful. We also have had several tasty entrees here. Again, it’s not a fancy place. And I wasn’t too impressed with their margarita. But the food is memorable.“

“Very good burritos! I love the steak & fries burrito.“
“I give the store 4 stars, it's a good place but they should be more careful with the food they sell. I bought 2 pounds of sweetbreads and it turns out that they mix them with hard gizzards. I find it unpleasant that they do that and you don't enjoy what you buy.“

“El Mexiquense Wood Grill food is vibrant, fresh, and deeply flavorful, relying on fresh ingredients like corn, avocado, tomatoes, and diverse chilies, balanced with herbs (cilantro, oregano), spices (cumin, cinnamon), and aromatics (onion, garlic) for complex, aromatic, and sometimes spicy, but always hearty, dishes that reflect rich regional traditions. It's about natural tastes enhanced, not overwhelmed, with textures from fresh tortillas and creamy cheeses like queso fresco. Is my new favorite restaurant in the area 😋“

“This is a great Mexican restaurant! To me, it's the best in North county! I love their fried Talapia. It's the whole fish! It is seasoned very well. If you want authentic, please try this restaurant. You will not regret it!“

“We surprised our son for his 40th birthday. Most guests arrived early and were served drinks and chips while waiting for the guest of honor. Our waiter was so kind and efficient. He checked on us constantly while still respecting our chattering. We were at his table a long time and he never acted exasperated or frustrated. Food came out quick and was absolutely wonderful. We all ordered something different and we’re able to try different dishes. All very tasty!“

“Great first experience! My family and I plan to return. Delicious food and margaritas, friendly staff, check it out!“
“We recently tried The Mexican Barrel House, and it absolutely exceeded expectations! I love that they put a creative twist on traditional Mexican dishes — everything felt fresh, unique, and thoughtfully prepared while still keeping those classic flavors we all crave. The food was delicious from start to finish. You can tell they use quality ingredients, and every dish was beautifully presented. And the margaritas? So good! Perfectly balanced, refreshing, and definitely worth ordering (maybe even a second 😉). The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated — warm, inviting, and full of character. It creates such a fun and comfortable atmosphere that makes you want to sit, relax, and enjoy the experience. The service was just as impressive — friendly, attentive, and welcoming without being overbearing. It made the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for Mexican food with a fun, modern twist, gorgeous ambiance, and amazing margaritas, The Mexican Barrel House is a must-try. We’ll definitely be back! 🌮🍹“

“I’m in love with their Mangonada!!!“
“Went on a Thursday night with friends who had been there 3 times in recent weeks and raved about it. Amazing seafood--free ceviche, and the shrimp empanadas, shrimp w Nayarit sauce and snapper with octopus were excellent. Server was friendly, fast and had good advice. Based on our experience this is easily one of the best Mexican restaurants in the city, no idea why ratings aren't better. The only downside is a great reason to go: they need more customers! I've heard many Hispanic restaurants are having trouble lately w. customers (incl legal residents) afraid to come out, so this is a good time to support them. But it's a great space and a fun vibe.“
