Biscuits and gravy were very bland. The eggs were cooked well but the hash browns were soggy and not good. The toast had an odd smell to it. Waitress was very nice but overall not a good breakfast.

Ok in a pinch, waitress was nice. Sorry to say, but I was not impressed. Food was almost Cold and lacked any real flavor.Ok in a pinch but any other place would be a better choice. No difference in the price as to a better restaurant

Best presentation of a biscuit and gravy with sausage, egg and cheeze I've ever witnessed. Amazing food from these lovely ladies. Building could use a redo but who cares when your belly is full.

If you are on HWY63 in Missouri traveling and you like to eat locally(like we do),then the Hometown Diner is for you!! The people are friendly and the food is amazing! Want to eat a grandma-like meal? Stop here!! It was definitely worth the stop and it is right on the hwy. Shonna was our waitress and she was amazing (friendly and waiting with the much needed coffee!) we had the Little Hometown breakfast there and it was just what we needed! The price was excellent for what you received.I’m just going to say avoid the fast food joints and stop here. You won’t be disappointed!!!

Great food and lots of It. Homemade country cooking! Short staffed and our new waitress was trying but was obviously inexperienced. Big help wanted sign in the window shows that they are trying to get more help to fix the problem. This is my new place to have breakfast and I will return regularly.

Best breakfast in West Plains!Kid-friendliness: My son loved his breakfast & he's picky, the waitress & staff were very sweet with him.

Before going to show property in Mountain Grove we decided to have breakfast here. We’d both noticed it was usually busy so it must be good. The food was really good. Hubby enjoyed the biscuits and gravy and I had an omelet with everything! The biscuits were delicious, very fluffy and large! The waitress was very accommodating in making it how I wanted as well as bringing extras I requested. She was very busy as she was the only one waiting tables but she did a great job. If I had one complaint would be the hash browns had an odd flavor but they said they had a new vendor. Might ask if they got it figured out before ordering them. They were still good, something was just off. Prices are a little high on the omelet but I’m sure they are keeping as low as possible.
