Salad Restaurants in Amory

“Who knew this cute little place would be found in downtown Amory, MS? I had a meeting nearby and I was looking for a place for lunch. When in doubt- always go where the locals do and they didn't steer me wrong. They have a great salad bar in the front which I didn't partake of but others in my group said it was quite tasty. There is always a quiche of the day (served with fruit or salad), and a soup of the day (it was quinoa on the day I was there . . .quite tasty!). The menu is simple- basically sandwiches with chips or fruit or salad. I had the BLT and it was the classic that it was meant to be. Others in my group had the grilled wrap which looked good or a basic ham sandwich. The decor is simple, wooden tables and chairs with brightly painted blue walls. This place is owned by a woman, and she and her staff go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need, be it refills on your sweet tea, or a warm up of your coffee. You can park right out front on Main street (don't you just love small towns?) and best of all? It's free! So if you find yourself in Amory- skip the chains and head to Deli 802 and pick up some of the local charm. Everyone knows each other so pretty soon you won't be a stranger either!“
