“In Biloxi for a day after seeing my son off at Keesler. I asked a local shop owner where can we get some authentic cajun food that we can’t get in Texas and were directed here. We immediately met Christie, our server, who herself is part of the Parrain’s experience and taught me the correct pronunciation of Boudin ? I ordered the swamp tray which is a sampler of gumbo, jambalaya, crawfish etouffee and red beans and rice. Hands down the best Cajun culinary experience I could’ve hoped to have. We also had the Boudin balls and bread pudding with beignets (holy smokes.) The owner Marlen along with Christie are wonderful people. Do yourself a favor and experience Parrain’s and also read all these wonderful reviews…there are many!“

“Highly recommend the fried oysters, Bodin balls, asparagus and of course their version of Long Island Tea and Margueritas! Service was amazing, fun and quick. Food quality was 10+.“

“Our first visit and wow was it great! Everything was top notch, starting with ample parking. We were seated quickly and could barely decide what we wanted to eat because everything looked so good! We got a combo platter of oysters-all of them delicious but the Orleans is our new favorite. I had the red fish and hubby had stuffed portabellas. The servings are quite large and they have unique sides options. Do yourself a favor and get the sweet potatoe crème brûlée. The most delicious thing on the menu, we ate it as our dessert! Our server Tim was absolutely the best. We can’t wait to go back!“

“Our waiter Michael W was awesome. He was the best part of our experience. He was great at communicating when drinks and food were arriving! And he was super attentive and we never had to chase him down for anything. The 12oz New York strip with Gouda grits was amazing. My husband had the sweet hot pecan chicken which was also delicious. We recommend the Lucky Penny for drinks! So yummy and smooth!
Cons: the young hostess up front was not the best. She came off as kind of rude when we said we didn’t have a table reservation. She did offer the bar. But we declined and made a table reservation online while standing there. When we told her we made a reservation online she just said “ok”. While she did end up seating us, I just felt like she came off as overwhelmed on a busy Saturday night and therefore was a little standoffish and rude. The older lady with short grey hair working with her was much nicer.
We will probably come back another time knowing we should have a reservation beforehand.“
