The star of the dining experience was our five-star server, Charlotte. She was friendly and super efficient, and she apologized for the wait. Her professionalism was outstanding, and we definitely felt well taken care of.Atmosphere is only two stars for several reasons. First, the hostess placed us at a high top table with incredibly uncomfortable stools and smaller than our backsides seats. These became increasingly uncomfortable as the hour that we were there wore on. This was particularly disconcerting as she passed a lower table with the same number of seats. Secondly, acoustics were awful. If we hadn’t had a show to get to, we’d have gone elsewhere.Food. We are foodies and were misled by the positive rating. The red snapper was fine, but the rice was not. Flavor was flat and while pretty with the bell peppers, did not have much flavor. I had a side salad that was relatively smothered in dressing, a baked potato, and a side of greens, which were mostly the broth. The food star was the beignets. They were delicious, and they saved the meal experience. Star server Charlotte had our bill taken care of before the last of the powdered sugar was wiped from our faces.Price was fine, and there was a tiny discount of his meal only in recognition of my husband’s service.Next time we will go elsewhere. I encourage you to do the same—unless you just want the beignets.

We stopped here on a road trip were happy with everything! The restaurant was so clean and inviting, and the food was comforting and delicious! Also the staff was very nice and attentive. If we ever stop in Brandon again, we will be sure to come back!

This restaurant was over the top accommodating to myself and my family. We had eight people, four of whom were kids, and they were able to seat us immediately with no wait. Our server Brittany was incredibly patient with the children, and her attentiveness to our big table was impressive. These kids were pounding lemonade the entire time we were there. The presentation, taste & quality of the food was above my expectations. This establishment is trying really hard and it shows from the top down. I spoke with the manager Sarah after our meal to say thank you, and you could genuinely see how hard she is trying to give her customers the perfect dining experience. Thanks, Genna Benna’s! Great experience tonight. No wait for a table. I asked my waitress, Erin, if the Redfish entree was good, and she said that it was one of her favorites. She did offer one alteration to the standard order though. Instead of getting it with the rice pilaf, the recommended the grits. Great recommendation on her part. Can't wait until my next time.

I always order the shrimp and grits but Alfredo sauce instead of bbq sauce, I have problems with spicey food. I have never had a problem - they always did this. Today they refused - said it wasn’t possible even though I always order it that way. Very disappointed and frustrated.Dietary restrictions: Not open to accommodating dietary restrictions. The seafood pasta was bland. BBQ salmon was good but our food was cold when it came out. I was so disappointed. Drove there based on reviews and left there mad because I spent the money on food that was not very good. Way too expensive to be served bland, cold food. First and last time going there. No, I did not bother to ask the server to fix anything because the food had already taken forever to come out after ordering……I was ready to get out of there.
