“Stopped in on a trip down from Illinois in November. Purchased three sweet loaf breads (banana nut, pumpkin cheesecake, Amish friendship) and a cream filled donut. Y’all, I’m from Amish country but I’ve never had bakery items this good. The donut changed my life because it’s not overly sweet, perfectly fried, and filled with unsweetened whipped cream. Ah-mazing! My family made short work of two breads and I froze the third. Just thawed it tonight, March 26. It was moist with a great crumb, and the sugar was still crackly. There’s magic in your kitchen! I’m heading back north soon and plan stops on the way up AND on the way down.“
