Food was excellent and service was attentive and polite. I was very surprised since most restaurants have been terrible the last couple of years in service, food taste and quality. We ordered chicken chimichanga and chicken quesadilla. The chicken was deliciously seasoned, moist and tender. The rice and beans were also very good. Chips and salsa were awesome. Most restaurants have skimped on seasonings and ingredients to their food. Not here. Everything was well seasoned and had added ingredients that add to flavor. I wish we’d known about this place years ago. We will most definitely return when we’re in the area. Please don’t change a thing. Excellent.Editing my review since it wasn't good at all the 2nd trip. I guess it's a tossup whether or not the food is decent. Maybe they have a cook that's great and a cook that's bad. Either way, it needs to be corrected. No one wants to eat food or have to pay for food that doesn't taste good. I don't think we'll take a chance going back.

LA cabana quickly became our favoriteWe have tried many Mexican restaurants and they are by far the best!The food is HANDMADE FRESH.Their guacamole and salsa knocks the local competition out of the park!The meats are tender and flavored just perfect! We have loved everything we have ordered!Delicious!!The staff is great, very friendly and attentive.

Absolutely amazing authentic food!! Large, clean atmosphere (clean bathroom too!) w/ extremely friendly staff. Literally the best guacamole I’ve ever eaten! Pricing isn’t too bad- definitely worth it for the quality & quantity of food served. $30 for 2 people. Highly recommend!!!

Really tasty food and friendly staff. My husband and I love coming here. We prefer this Mexican restaurant over the others in Carthage! It’s usually quiet, so you can have a nice lunch/dinner in peace! Place is clean, waiter is always attentive and checks for drink refills. Prices are not bad with the quality of food you get. Last time we got the ribs and they were delicious, but this time they didn’t have them in stock which was a bummer. Chips could be better… last time they tasted fresh but this time they tasted old. Salsa is perfect. Not too spicy and not too mild. Will be back!
