Hicks Tamales & BBQ Shop is a quiet, unassuming place in Clarkadale that offers delicious tamales. The tamales are described as some of the best, with a smaller size than regular tamales but still very tasty. The rib tips are also mentioned as a desirable menu item, though not always available. The owner is friendly and accommodating, and the staff is friendly. The place is going through some changes, but the quality of the tamales is consistently praised as the best in town. The location and drive-through can be a bit confusing for first-time visitors, but the exceptional tamales and good service make it worth the effort. The owner also makes his own Italian sausage, which is incredible.
