I went to Po Folks with our monthly luncheon group most of whom ordered the chicken tender meals. Two of us ordered the liver and onions. The liver was thin sliced and buried under a mound of thin sliced sateed onions. We each had two sides and a bread choice. There was a minor mixup on some side orders but we were a large group and everyone was satisfied with their meals and the service. The prices were reasonable and less than we usually spend. Huge portions of down -home cooking! Good prices. My husband had The Whole Shebang salad. It was covered with meat: popcorn shrimp, fried chicken strips and a half slab of chicken fried steak! He literally couldn't finish all the meat! I had a bowl of chicken and dumplings and a side of coleslaw. The coleslaw dressing was tangy and delicious. We were passing through Pensacola on our way to Destin and we wanted to do something other than Cracker Barrel, so we decided to try Po Folks. The hostess seemed to be having a bad day and she had trouble hiding it. Luckily, our server, Amanda was nice and took care of us! We liked everything we ordered and will return in the future.
