About El Rancho

El Rancho Bar & Grill offers a mix of experiences, with some customers reporting issues and others praising the restaurant. On the downside, one customer found the chips to be cold, the taco salad's fried tortilla shell soft and uncrunchy, and the ground beef's color and flavor disappointing. They also reported broken salt shakers and a loud, inappropriate customer at the bar, with staff not addressing their concerns effectively. However, other customers have highlighted the authentic Mexican food, generous service, and welcoming environment. They particularly recommend the Tacos El Pastor, Spanish rice, white cheese dip, and salsa. One customer enjoyed a beef burrito plate and chicken quesadilla plate, praising the portion sizes, prices, and friendly service. The restaurant is fairly large, with a friendly and helpful staff, and the interior features brick decor and giant sombreros that add to the atmosphere. Recently, the restaurant accommodated a customer just before closing, offering free chips and salsa, and serving a superbly presented Michelada with orange slices, grilled shrimp, Mexico flags, and a cherry on top. An order of QuesaBirria arrived quickly with three tacos, consomé, salsa, and a side of rice and beans, all described as very appetizing and delicious. The new owners are planning to change the name to Monterrey and are slowly remodeling the space. Once completed, the atmosphere is expected to be great, and the menu will include some new options. The restaurant makes its own spicy hot sauce that adds both heat and flavor. Overall, experiences at El Rancho Bar & Grill seem mixed, but many look forward to the improvements and the continued good service.

I love chilli relloeno's, but I do not like the red sauce on top, so I ordered and requested no red sauce. I found out quickly why they cover theirs in red sauce. My first bite was a mouth full of greasy mush. When I told the waiter how horrible it was and showed him all the grease, instead of offering to correct it, he proceeded to tell me how it was not grease it was the oil from the cheese because they pull them from the freezer and microwave them. He stood there arguing with...read full review
