I typically get the roast beef and it's great. I switched up and got the pot roast this time. I found the meat just a tad dry but the sandwich as a whole was excellent. I'll stick with the roast beef in the future but I've eaten here about once per week for at least the last year and have only had a few minor issues in that time. Definitely worth checking it out of you've never eaten here.
Ordered the Catfish Plate w/ extra fish, fries, onion rings, and a drink. My friend picked it up for me. Opened it - no extra catfish (I called ahead of time to get a count). The catfish was so bland and the texture bad- it was like eating wet sand. Usually their poboys are good- I'll give them that but I will not eat the fish again.
Let me just say the service was exceptional. The elderly lady at the counter was absolutely phenomenal. I was very happy until I got my food. Shrimp platter with two sides. I was expecting jumbo shrimp, not a plate of baby shrimp. Shrimp absolutely had no flavor. Only thing it had on there it seemed was cream/corn meal and salt. Was excited to try homemade potato salad. It was decent but was not too impressed. Very disappointed with the baked beans. Overall was not terrible but...
