Some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had! It’s become our new favorite spot!
Finally got a chance to check out Fernando's today for lunch with Mom. Wow! Food was so delicious, staff was welcoming and accommodating, portions were plentiful and the atmosphere so pleasant. We will definitely be back!
Usually the food is good but today when I went I was REALLY disappointed. I got 2 steak and cheese quesadillas and they were small. I paid $27.99 for it and I was not satisfied. The one in Pearl and Brandon never gave me quesadillas that looked like these. I have a picture of it if I could post. Usually they stuff the quesadilla with steak and white cheese. They are pretty big to fill you up but these look like I did them at the house and I wasn’t full when I got done with both...read full review

Based on customer reviews, Fernando’s On Star Rd. is a must-visit spot for Mexican food. The restaurant is located in a former gas station, and while the appearance might be surprising, guests say not to let the looks fool you. The food is consistently described as delicious and incredible, with the best Mexican food many have ever had. Specific menu highlights include the charro beans, which are a must, and the burritos a la parilla, which are very flavorful and arrive on a hot skillet like fajitas. The salsa is chunky and consistently good, and even the sweet tea and chips (which are pre-seasoned) are delicious. The staff is friendly and like a family, and the service is great. The atmosphere is enjoyable, and the unique little pitchers used as glasses hold more beverage. Many guests go several times a month and are spoiled, preferring not to go anywhere else. This location is considered 10 times better than the Fernando’s in Pearl, MS, and is worth the drive from Jackson.
