“DOE’S EAT PLACE is not a restaurant, but a true Delta Treasure! Walking through that screen door and you are transported to days long past. The “decor” is not there to make you feel good, but precious keepsakes that each have a unique story. The food is absolute perfection and well worth the price. The casual atmosphere makes it feel like home and the staff are like family to every customer. Bring your favorite wine in your purse or brown bag special. Beer, cokes, & Sweet Tea are available of course. For large parties, call ahead for a reservation and let them know you’re coming because they are packed every night (for good reason)! My favorite food item is the broiled shrimp and the garlic bread for dipping. It’s best to arrive with an empty tummy and a full wallet! Tip those waitresses double because they are one of a kind! Don’t forget to snap a photo outside to prove you were at the “original” DOE’S!! It’s a tradition. Don’t leave your Diamonds on your Dash with your car unlocked because..well you know what you did wrong there. Remember where you are because we are all “dirt poor” here 😅 in the Dirty Delta, but those of us that live here know that we are blessed to live in this quiet little part of our country filled with good people and loads of character! Ya’ll have fun!!!“
