Jake & Rip's Reviews
Awesome food, totally worth it!
This restaurant beat out every expectation me and my family had. The food was delicious and reasonably priced for bbq. The Jake’s homemade bbq chips were amazing. Don’t plan on getting this as a starter it’s a main dish, and is super filling. They had a unique take on the kids menu food which is nice to see. We ordered the mini corn dogs which were very tasty. Lastly the pulled pork platter was good. The beans were the best baked beans we have received at a restaurant...read full review
The atmosphere is fun but the food is just mediocre for the price. The ribs were definitely not fall off the bone tender, not a bbq place it’s more like a restaurant that serves bbq. The service was ok. Nothing really stood out as being great. Added a couple photos since it’s difficult to know what drinks they serve from the website.

Jake & Rip's is a restaurant known for its great food and attentive service. Popular dishes include shrimp and grits, baby back ribs, and a cheese plate with fried jalapeños and sausages. The pulled pork and steak tips are also customer favorites. Guests have praised the Onion Rings as a must-try starter, and many enjoy the Philly Cheesesteak and grilled chicken salad. The menu has recently changed, but the service remains prompt and friendly. The drink selection is varied, with customers finding the food delicious and affordable. The brown butter cake is often highlighted as absolutely delicious. While the portion sizes of sides may be small, guests plan to return to try more menu options. The atmosphere features a funky dark vibe with excellent bluesy music playing from the ceiling, creating a pleasant environment. The restaurant is clean and well-kept, contributing to a satisfying dining experience. Some customers have enjoyed the cooked-to-order burgers, with one noting their burger was perfectly cooked medium rare, and the large shrimp were tender and well-prepared. Others have ordered takeout, praising the great hamburgers and fries, although some wish for different types of fries. The onion rings are consistently delicious, and the fried shrimp with hushpuppies is also well-liked, despite some disappointment with the sweet chili sauce served with the shrimp. Overall, Jake & Rip's remains a favored spot for good food and friendly service.
