Not even close to an Irish Pub. No food menu. It's a shame that people are naming their bars Irish Pubs and either they serve food that's not even Irish or they have NO food at all.

Cut off after 2 drinks. I’m 29 but look 20. Which he never I.d.’d me. Sat at the bar for the entirety and when asking for another he says no because he can “see it in my eyes” he offered me water, so I drank a whole glass of water thinking afterwards I could at least get a beer. He says no to that ends up yelling at me when I re-iterate that I’ve only had two drinks so if you’re a grownass adult and you want to be cut off after a couple drinks go to this place.

Edit: This establishment is no longer on the off limits list aboard NCBC Gulfport effective 02 Apr 2023.Rooney's Irish PUB is an Off Limits establishment for uniformed personnel aboard NCBC Gulfport.Personal opinion is military bases don't Blacklist establishments that 1 follow the law and 2 promote a positive wholesome atmosphere for its customers.I hope this establishment is able to make changes to get such a large revenue stream back in its doors whenever the base does a review.
I happened to stumble across this bar while exploring Gulfport as I will be moving here in a few months from time of writing.Was immediately warmly greeted by Sean (Shawn?) One of the owners. I stayed for a few hours and several folks that were clearly regulars stopped by during that time. Sean introduced me to everyone and made me feel welcome and like part of a family there. We had great conversation and he even bought me a beer when I was closing out my tab. I'll 100% be back when I move here.

Great bar had fun here I was with 2 friends and we stopped in to watch the Cowboys and 49ers game Cowboys lost but still a fun night and the owner of the bar is very cool guy and we had great conversation with him I will go back againParking: It wasn't busy when we were there so we parked right in front of the place

The bartender that worked last night (Friday) was EXTREMELY rude. Short heavy set with dark hair and glasses. Cussing out a customer for bringing a drink in. We left and returned only for her to say “yeah I’m gonna be mean again what’s up”We love the place and atmosphere but rude and just plain mean bartenders are bad for this business
