Authentic Mexican

The food was so good!! I haven’t eaten at a Mexican restaurant that hasn’t made me sick in years 😭 but this one did not make me sick! All of the food we had was delicious and tasted fresh, none of it was soggy or too greasy.

Don chuys is definitely the place to go, friendly & quiet atmosphere, amazing service, and quite litterally the. est mexican food in hattisburg!! i recommend to everybody to come and try the tacos!! Overall Don’Chuys is phenomal!!

Since 2026 the service has been a joke. We used to have staff that knew us and provided a quality experience but the past few times we have had sub par experiences and the servers are to blame. Food is still good, but somehow this server, benjamin, is still working there. Not everyone is fit to be a server, but after several poor experiences at this location I am leaving a review because I want to continue supporting don chuys but I don’t want servers like Benjamin. If management sees this I would be more than happy to go into further detail.

We have visited Don Chuy’s twice so far and plan to keep coming back. Both times the food was great, restaurant was clean, and staff is very friendly. I feel like it’s a hidden gem in Hattiesburg. Highly recommend. They even have a room that seats large groups.

Just had Don Chuy’s for the first time and wow! The cleanliness, the service and the food….. SO GOOD! Grisel was FANTASTIC! Highly recommend for anyone in town or newbies looking for somewhere delicious

Somebody told us that there was no good Mexican food in Hattiesburg. We decided to try out Don Chuy’s because we were next to it, and our minds were blown. First off the service. The two times that we’ve gone we’ve been served by the same sweet waitress! Food comes out super fast. The food is amazing. We weren’t disappointed both times, the food actually far exceeded our expectations. If you like Mexican food come here. If you don’t like Mexican food come here. My wife likes Mexican food, but it’s not her favorite, but the second time we went it was her choice to go😂 get the big burrito! Or the Don Chuy Philly cheese steak burrito!! So good :)

The food and service are both incredible! The staff is extremely attentive and kind. Best queso dip, best fajitas, and best margaritas I’ve ever had. Definitely try Don Chuy’s if yoy are in the area! 10/10!!!
