My husband and I eat at Half Shell once a month and as always the food and service is always excellent! I tried the French Dip sandwich today, if you’re looking for a change from seafood, try it. It was delicious!!! And they have the best Margaritas in Hattiesburg.

Half Shells in Hattiesburg never disappoints! I absolutely love their fried green tomatoes topped with crab cakes — it’s one of those dishes I crave again and again. The almond-crusted chicken salad is another favorite, fresh, flavorful, and filling without being too heavy. Pair it with a glass of wine or one of their cocktails, and it’s the perfect meal. The atmosphere is relaxed but lively, and the staff is always welcoming. Definitely one of my favorite spots in Hattiesburg!

I ordered fried oysters. I wish the waitress had told me they weren’t serving oysters or had temporarily removed them from the menu because they are sub par this time of year. Instead I got fried oysters the size and texture of a dime size rock. I got a to go box and left before finishing my meal. I should have just sent the order back and ordered something else or just left.

The food was cooked wrong twice brought to the table twice wrong then the waiter argued about it being wrong and brought me the bill with the food on it even though it was supposed to be removed. 30 minutes after eating my fish i was violently ill

Louise was our server tonight! What excellent service he delivered! Completely professional in his mannerisms and attire! We had a party of 10 tonight with 4 children and 6 adults! He took our order exceptionally well and the food came out perfect! I also had an unusual request in which I wanted to take the shells of the oysters that we had eaten earlier and he boxed them up for me to go! He took the children in to consideration and asked if we wanted to place children’s food order first!

The crawfish, crab, and corn bisque did not meet expectations. It was extremely thin and appeared and tasted to be watered down. In addition, the lettuce in the salad was wilted and I was afraid to eat it.

Our new favorite Sunday after church lunch spot! The moment we walked in the manager Robbie was very welcoming and assisted us quickly with a table. Our server John was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, as we have 2 in our family with food allergies. The food was served quickly, hot, and delicious! There are not many places we go to eat with our allergies, but we felt safe and enjoyed everything we had and will most definitely be back!!
