probably the best place i have eaten in a while, the owner was super sweet and warm and she made sure we were full and happy! the price is very good, you definitely get what you pay for. my boyfriend is from louisiana and he said this is the closest thing to louisiana food outside of louisiana, and he takes that very seriously. 11/10 recommend!
I had an appointment at DMV and searched somewhere close to eat. Homestyle Restaurant was .3 miles away. By the time I got there, there was no more dark chicken, but all I had to do was wait 15 minutes and I was blessed with a plate of fried chicken, okra, cabbage, macaroni and cheese and lemonade. People it was just like Mama or Granny made it. I am a fan! I will be back to tell y’all about every item on the menu. Stay tuned….,
The service was amazing. Ms. Brenda was so sweet. And the food?!?!?? Hunny, it was amazing. I got fried chicken, Mac and cheese, green beans, yams, AND corn bread with a lemonade for $18. It was definitely worth every penny even after warming it up ?.
