I have been coming here at least once or twice a week for years. The past 5 or 6 times we have been the service has been some of the worst I’ve ever had, especially outside on the patio. Went last night for a friend’a birthday. We never received silverware or napkins the whole time we were there. I ate my Zydeco Chicken with the spoon that came with my side. My boyfriend waited 10 minutes at the bar to ask for silverware and by the time he got some, the whole table was finished with their food. My water was never refilled. We had a cake, our server never brought us plates or silverware to eat/cut the cake with. Not sure if they’re understaffed or what but very disappointed with the service lately. The drinks were great, as always, though.

Great bar, lots of seating, full menu available, great bartenders and very good pricing for a quality product. One of the better craft beer selections that I have found anywhere. The food is also very good.

If I could give a zero I would. Absolutely horrible. Did not receive oysters. Did not get our side. The fish taste like someone cooked it for 3 hours. I have always had great meals here but this is unbelievably bad.

We came here on a Friday hoping for a reprieve from the busy week and we weren't disappointed! First of all, The roasted potatoes are a worthwhile experience! Next time I'd get them with a balsamic drizzle but I had them alongside the ribeye this time and it was sublime. The flavor of the potato really comes through, that subtle sweetness caresses your tongue as the savory skin disapates... Somehow they are soft and crunchy at the same time... Definitely worth it, and the ribeye was succulent and well seasoned! Moreover our server Virginia was patient abd intuitive. We were able to enjoy our visit and trust thet she'd be there te help us without being overbearing. Definitely a pleasant vistt!

This place is the real deal... outstanding food, great beer selection, friendly staff. A taste of the big easy in Hattiesburg. You gotta try the Corn + Crab Bisque with a hunk of bread.
I'm told that with all the changes over the last few decades, this bar has stayed the same.... I love it

The burger and the crabmeat wontons were great! Service was awesome and atmosphere was amazing. 2-7 is happy hour so you can get $4 select cocktails. Overall, would recommend.

It was awful sent the food back twice and it came back worse each time I guess they weren’t worried because they were eating raising canes they brought it out in to go containers in bags and we were sitting at the bar it wasn’t close to closing time the service was erratic they talked to each other more than taking orders we were never asked if we wanted more drinks they weren’t even busy the music stopped at ten it’s really a hit or miss because normally it’s amazing
Absolutely built around a 1900s mindset with racism. Came here and was so excited. Sat at the table for about 10 to 15 minutes. I watched 2 waitresses constantly walking back and forth without noticing us. COOL! Never had an issue in the patience department. But the problem arose when an older white couple came and sat directly beside us and was checked on within 1 minute, I kid yall not!! Say what yall want about me writing this review but I’m honestly heartbroken. To see someone of the other race being seen, after that short amount of time, after I had been waiting so long, HURT! I don’t see color, never have, never will even after this!, but never will I ever allow something like this to go without speaking on! I’m sure everyone else’s reviews are great but this is MY Personal Review on June 2, 2025. DO BETTER Maple Bar! Give a class or something! Don't allow the enemy in your beautiful establishment. We’ve come too far!!!
