The food and atmosphere was great as always. The only thing keeping me from a 5 star review was the service this visit. We got to our table at 7:00 (which was our reservation time) and didn't leave till after 10:00. We watched other tables come and go, so not sure why it was taking our service so long. Then to cap it off, we ordered a couple desserts and after waiting for them about 20-25 minutes, the waiter tells us, "I'm sorry, we won't be able to serve your desserts tonight", then just walks away, no explanation or anything. It was a really odd experience, never complained or had any issues other than waiting so long, but we were enjoying our company, so we let it go, but by the time we left, it was like, what happened and why did things take so long and what was with the desserts?

super friendly staff. oysters and desserts were great. entree's could go for a little more flavor in my opinion but everyone has different opinions. the library lounge that is attached to the same hotel is very cool as well.

We had dinner here on a Friday evening. They have a creative cocktail menu. I had the Eudora Welty- a tasty vodka cucumber mix. Enjoyed the butternut squash humus as an appetizer. The walnut crusted salmon was a delicious entree. Service was a tad slow as a rehearsal dinner was held inside at the event space. Dining outside under a huge magnolia tree was spectacular!

So I was expecting fine doing with white tablecloths and a piano. Instead we were on a sunporch with black tablecloths and a TV set on CNN covering Trump! Was going to be our 25th anniversary celebration, now I need a do over. The food was good especially the Summer salad.

This is one of the most beautiful places to dine in Jackson. The food, drinks, atmosphere.... servers, bartenders.... absolutely everything is great. Expect a lovely upscale, yet laid-back environment. They are not expedient, but they are well worth the visit!!!

The ambiance was fantastic. The food not so much. The waitresses didn't have a clue what the entrees were. I ordered the short ribs, these were very big fatty ribs. Not good. I traded with my husband who ordered the fish special. That was better, but bland. Beautiful setting. Food could be improved!

After driving all day, we found this wonderful small library restaurant. The food was excellent. And a nice glass of wine was the perfect ending. We shared a charcuterie board. Wonderful honey! I had the wild mushroom pappedelle pasta in a lemon cream sauce! Delicious! My husband had a good gumbo and salad. Highly recommend!!
