It was great to pop in and find a new spot in Jackson. The Taste Bar & Grill was a pleasant surprise and gave the hubs and I Houston vibes, aesthetically. We loved the attention to detail on the decor and layout. The vibe and streaming music was nice and added to the experience. The hubs ordered an assortment of wings and I tried the oxtail pasta. The wings were pretty good. The oxtail pasta took quite a while to come out. The hubs had finished his plate before mine arrived. The new bartender was very kind and gracious when reporting on the delay. Upon arrival, the oxtail itself had a heat (like Jalapeño seed heat) that I wasn’t prepared for, but the oxtail meat was falling off the bone and well prepared nonetheless. We didn’t order drinks this time around, but will return when we’re in the area for drinks, apps, and a vibe!

The service was great, but the food was absolutely outstanding! Every dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully prepared, showing the care and talent of the kitchen team. While the staff provided friendly and attentive service throughout the meal, the real stars of the experience were the cooks who brought everything together so perfectly. Huge shoutout to the kitchen staff for delivering such an amazing dining experience.. I can’t wait to come back! 10s all around!!

Highly recommend Taste Bar and Grill. We flew in for the day just to have dinner here, and the experience was well worth the trip. The service was great, and they were very helpful in picking out the creole oysters. The food and drinks were great. Looking forward to coming back in the future. And shout out to Joe our waitress + bartender in the Lounge! Even when it got packed she will was able to keep up and make sure we were good.

I had a bad experience. It took a long time to get our food. Then the waitress only brought my husband food out and told me my fish was coming out the grease. He was finished with is food by time I got my food. I was very disappointed.

I went Friday for birthday, I got the lamb chops 0/10 I wouldn’t recommend. I had lambs and mash potatoes and a drink $90 , over price! But the scenery was cool. The waitress was slow and forgetting stuff but overall it’s cool but I won’t be back!

They had to clean the table prior to us sitting, but we didnt mind!
My husband ordered the cajun oyster they didnt have it and thankfully they didnt. They offered us grilled shrimp instead. The grilled shrimp was so delicious 😋. Then they offered us some bread pudding it was warm, good texture and a nice balance of flavors. Omg!!! We almost placed another order to go. Catfish and fries were tasty as well.

Went for my birthday dinner. Service was HORRIBLE! Had a very stuck up waitress that did not want to be bothered. Drinks overpriced - did not taste alcoholic, tasted like juice for a toddler. I ordered an appetizer and it didn’t come out until 15 mins AFTER entrees were brought out which we waited forever for and was warm to the touch. I was missing a side item and it wasn’t brought out until right before the ticket came. Bad part, it wasn’t even busy last night. Very disappointed with my experience and they did not care at all. Wouldn’t recommend. I doubt I went on a bad night.

I visited with my boyfriend for the Thursday happy hour, we were seated quickly and the booths were clean and spacious. The hostess was very nice and well spoken. Our server Brooklyn was very helpful & delightful! She answered our questions with no problem! We ordered a couple of drink and the barista Teryn was wonderful! The drinks were delicious and balanced well. Now to the food, it was a bit disappointing. We ordered the creole pasta and ox tail pasta, both were bland upon first taste, we added salt pepper and Tabasco which gave it some flavor but still nothing to write home about. Lastly the atmosphere who nice and chill. As the night went on the music did become a little loud but nothing unbearable. Overall we would definitely come back for the drink, not so sure about the food.
