Delicious food and friendly service from our server Q. Will definitely be back !!
First time eating here and really enjoyed it. We were a party of 7. We had a short wait, which is no big deal! Once seated we ordered multiple appetizers. We had the soul city seafood dip and the IH sampler platter. The dip was good but it was somewhat lacking in seasoning. The platter was good. The fried broccoli and queso is a good combination. For my meal I had the filet with crab meat, loaded baked potato, and the street corn. The steak was well cooked and had a good flavor. I really enjoyed the street corn, it had a sweet flavor. Overall enjoyed the food and would definitely go back.

Nice place, good atmosphere and polite/friendly service. Food was good for the price, but not outstanding. Area felt a bit sketchy.

Great service ,was given time to order. First place I've come across serving cider. Brought drink whilst choosing appetiser. Lots of time to peruse menu. Waiter was lovely, very courteous. Food was nice , partner had the three meats starter and I had a lovely seafood fish. Pork chop was nice and partner enjoyed a chicken dish. If I lived nearer ,I would be a regular . If I ever come to this area again I would definitely revisit
Let’s just start by saying we walked in and the smell was AMAZING!!! Then we got to our table and our waitress was Tootie….she is phenomenal…..we are in town from Florida because our first granddaughter was born here…..let’s just say google didn’t disappoint on bring us somewhere awesome!!!! The food!!!! Omg! Soooo top shelf! The service beyond top shelf! Everyone was friendly and we left full and ready to come back!!!! Tootie we love you and hope to see you again soon!!!
Chose this restaurant hoping to find some good down home cooking. Mostly usual fare of ribs, shrimp and grits, etc. Saturday night music. Portions were decently generous, cost fair, food fair to good. Clearly a gathering place for locals and groups, including for celebrations. A hidden gem was the gallery of Museum of Mississippi Muscians on the second floor. Great photos and history as well as wax portraits of famous and great musicians. Eat there just to see the gallery.
Sort of weird. Great waitress, good fried okra and mac and cheese. The ribs were tough AF. I'm not a ribs person, but I ate three of the six and was ripping the meat off the bone. I thought maybe the first two were just bad and on the end. On the third, there really wasn't any meat so I told the waitress about it. She said I should let the manager know, which I did. Manager came out and said that they were bad today bc they had been left in smoker too long, so I asked for a recommendation to replace them. Ended up ordering the ribeye. Asked to only have the ribeye as I had eaten both of the sides with the ribs. Then, the chef came out and he sort of b*tched me out bc I hadn't sent them back earlier and he didn't think there was a problem with them. I didn't really care bc I wasn't trying to get something free. Just wanted a decent main. So the ribeye comes out and it was great. Ate it, and it came with sides, so I took those home along with the fat and meat chunks for my dog. Get up to the front desk to pay with a tap, and they charged me for both entrees. I didn't say anything bc I was over it and it would have been pretty trashy of me to complain again. That was very low class for them to charge me for the second entree, though, when the first was inedible. Was just passing through Jackson on a cross-country road trip and was looking forward to trying ribs since they're famous for it, but that crap is unfortunately how they represented themselves. I've never had a chef come out and b*tch me out for complaining about an entree, but that could be bc I don't complain that often. Never had to pay for something that was that bad, but there's a first time for everything. I'm sure the place is good most of the time and this was a one out. They didn't handle it well, though.
Our late lunch was excellent. I haven't had the opportunity to eat here in many years and it was as good as I remembered. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. Many thanks to Cordell and others for the great mid-afternoon lunch.

The Visit started out good. The bartender was attentive and gave me a drink I hadn't had in a while. It tasted good. But when we got to the table some things went Downhill from there regarding service. While the food was decent. It initially came out lukewarm and the main meals came out before the appetizer. We had to ask several times for several things. For example Our drinks to be made with light ice, Napkins, rewarmed food. So the service was not good. The music was decent. Not excellent, but decent. Got to do better with how they provide service.
My Brunch dining experience was absolutely Exquisite the food was so, so delicious I had the Adult Brunch when I say every single item was delicious and divine so tantalizing to my taste buds to perfection. (Those Grits, Link sausages Jesus, also made to order eggs, waffles with strawberries & sugar) the food was hot, and they kept bringing it out hot & Fresh this is an astounding brunch buffet please do not get rid of it. I was there on a Sunday the Service was impeccable the Staff was so Friendly, Kind and Attentive. The Music was Absolutely Wonderful I was travelling back home and stop by, and we made it a Sunday Funday at The Iron Horse Grill. OH, Jackson MS don't owe me nothing!! The Iron Horse Grill put the icing on my Trip! I will be back every time I come to MS or through there it will be my stop! (From New York City by way of Texas) -City Girl to Country Girl
Rarely does a place live up to expectations but this one did. Chicken chimichanga was really good and the cheese dip was excellent - wife had the chicken and pasta and was happy with it. I ordered a beer and made a mistake on it and the manager took the beer back and gave me another one - waitress was excellent and was very pleasant. There is a music museum connected to it that was a nice 10-minute walk through to digest dinner. Overall, we made a great choice on dinner.
Stopped in for lunch on our drive to Memphis. Being from overseas visitors we were looking for a great meal and this place did not disappoint. The menu was well stocked and varied as too was the drinks. A nice touch to the corn chips and salsa as we viewed the menu. A big shout out to Milan, our server, a great ambassador for the restaurant, who was fun, professional and gave great service. We left with a full belly and a smile.
Super nice restaurant! Moment wasted by the waitress who doubled our bill seeing that we were French and not speaking very well English! When I noticed and wanted to warn her she already knew what she had done... did not apologize and reprinted a ticket! Not nice!!!!
