food was very good but was disappointed in total price. reg price was 29.15 plus tax. my total bill was 66.00 plus tip. 2 orders rice and beans 15.00. added shrimp to enchiladas 8.00 per plate. we got cheese dip which I didn't order. I thi k she misunderstood. sorry bout this but everywhere I eat Mexican rice and beans come with it.
great food. but ordered a to-go order and paid $10 for a large cheese dip to be given 1 bag of chips. had to go to another store just to buy chips to have enough for the large cheese dip. not impressed at all about that!
Went there for the first time Saturday. Close to home . Good food and great service. Will definitely go back

Monarca Mexican Restaurant is a Mexican restaurant in the Meridian area. The staff is friendly, fast, and respectful. One of the waitresses always remembers us and has Diet Cokes and cheese dip ready when we walk in through the door. The margarita is grand and made stout. The rice and beans were perfect, the chimichanga was delicious, and the carnitas were absolutely perfect. Service was also amazing. The quesadillas, shrimp and chicken, with rice and beans had good flavors, though the chicken was just a little on the dry side. The tacos with side of beans were good, and servings were generous. Everything was so fresh with great flavors and excellent service. The corn tortillas were homemade and so well made. The birtia tacos could use a tad more seasoning but overall, experience was excellent. Fastest Mexican Food in MS! The food was great and the staff were friendly. Definitely Tex Mex!
