A most traumatic experience. Special order cake for child birthday. Beautiful cake but the icing slid off the back of it. Picked it up Saturday just before closing, party on Sunday, and I called Monday morning to let Margie know. The way Margie responded to my call remains the worst costumer services experience I have ever encountered. I’ve waited to post this—to give it time to rest and process the words spoken to me. I explained the situation and, before finishing, I was cut off and berated instantly. I was told that I should’ve contacted her immediately and I explained I called the moment the store reopened on Monday (closed Saturday after leaving store and on Sunday). A simple and kind and honest ‘I’m sorry’ would have sufficed. I needed nothing else. I never asked for a refund or any concession. Despite that, Margie was harsh and told me she was a small business owner with young children and that she should be supported. I love supporting local businesses, but that does not require me to relinquish the right to expect a proper product of which has been properly paid.
A thread of kindness, an admission of a mistake, an apology—-all had the possibility of making it right and affording me an opportunity to give it another try. Instead, my business has not returned and I am honest about my terrible experience when other ask me about using her services.

My cupcake was delicious. However, the service was awful. I was asking the young lady questions about the birthday cupcakes since that was my first time. I asked was it a yellow or white cake? I asked if the icing was butter cream? I asked her the kind of flavor? She said white? I said white vanilla she said yes with an attitude. I asked I'd she had napkins? She was like no. Good cupcake but very turned off by her response. My mom was an excellent cook and bakery for years. She passed away and I wanted to try something new. So much for that.

I pull up to what I think is a normal house and walk into the most delicious smells ever..there right as you walk in staring you right in the face is a glass case with the cuties cupcakes, cookies that I ever laid eyes upon..So right away you already know what's about to go down..it's cupcake time..I did wince a bit at price, but let me tell you..they were so worth it..

I requested a cake for my wife's Graduation party and Margie went above and beyond great size and Decor everyone got a chance to enjoy and more..... very fluffy very moist....definitely recommend to anyone

I live in Montana and my best friend is in Mississippi as a Navy officer on base. She has had a rough few months and her birthday is coming up and I wanted to do something nice for her. I reached out to Margie's and they were able to put together a dozen unicorn themed cupcakes and my friends amazing house cleaner picked them up and brought them to her so they would not melt in the Mississippi heat. I love supporting local no matter who's local it is and Margie's did a great job! It is a reminder of how simple and nice things can be when we care about each other, this local bakery and hardworking housekeeper were willing to help someone they did not know and did an amazing job and made a super special day for my friend and her kids (her husband is currently oversees).THANK YOU!!!!

We were passing through Meridian and decided to stop here. Best decision we made. We got a variety of cupcakes. Hands down some of the best cake ever! I am picky on wedding cake flavor but they nailed it! And the sweetest people/owner!We will have to return one day!

I had a retirement cake made and it was so moist and delicious. Very pretty too. I highly recommend Margie's Mixing Bowl.

Her and her staff are absolutely amazing everything taste amazing down to the cupcakes the cakes I’ve tasted just about every flavor that she has she is truly amazing if you’re looking for a cake person this is who you need to order from
