Went in to have a drink at the bar and the owner or manager started yelling and belittling the bartender. It was the most unprofessional behavior I have ever seen. Will NOT be back. The gray haired man who was yelling seemed like a crazy person.

We were driving through Meridian and decided to stop here for dinner. All three of our dinners were very disappointing. They serve lunch then close then open back for dinner but the food they serve for dinner was left over from lunch. The chicken was dry, cooked carrots were old, green beans over salted, corn bread dry. We are not picky eaters and easy to please but this was not good. The server was very good but the food was not.

I know that this place has been in Meridian for a long time, but we ate there on September 1, 2023 and I have to say that it's a really great place to go. The food was made fresh and delicious. The service was great and it was a really cool place to be. Very family friendly and wonderful and welcoming people there. I love it and will be going back as soon as we can. It was also priced budget friendly and worth every bit!Parking: There were plenty of places to park, even when a bit busy.Kid-friendliness: Was very kid and family friendly. As we waited for our to go order that was prepared fresh, we were entertained by two sweet kids that were there. The owner thought they were adorable and took pictures of them near the window. The owner was very nice and helped us out since it was our first time ordering there. They were very kind and helpful too.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp at the front door and room for a wheelchair or motor scooter too. It was dark, but I believe they also had handicapped parking too

The French fries were good. Everything else has no taste. My wife had the spicy Alfredo and it was tasteless. I had the blackend chicken po-boy. Was again tasteless. It also took about an hr to get our food after we ordered.

This was the best food I’ve had since I got to Mississippi. Awesome decor and the service was spot on. Johnny Cash and several other greats have autographed pictures on the walls. I highly recommend this experience for all who enjoy awesome home cooked meal.

This place is a throwback to an earlier era. The ambience is old south but in the best possible way. I had the etouffee and I loved the more soup-like consistency. My friend from the area says we have to experience the entertainment on Thursday and Friday nights. Don't miss this place during your stay.

The burgers we had were absolutely amazing. Was very interesting that they fry the patty as it gives it a very different flavor.Unfortunately the pork chops, fries, and turnip greens were just about flavorless. Will definitely go back for just the burgers but am not sure I will ever try anything else.Price for what you get was very reasonable and staff was friendly. The cook/chef even came out of the kitchen and was talking with customers.

Was in town on business, we came here for some “classic home cookin”. WOW! Lunch special, hamburger steak was flavorful, mashed potatoes were perfect and steamed cabbage spot on! Everyone enjoyed the food and signed photos on the walls. Staff were prompt with everything and super nice. Will do again!!
