The service was ok. The rib meat would fall off the bone but was still a little tough. The brisket was stringy and tough. The BBQ sandwich tasted like it was two or three days old. I believe it had some bad meat. Could not eat. We did not say anything to the proprietor we’re not looking for handouts. The customer should have the best food every time.

The Rib Shack is a small, friendly gem. The food was excellent, well worth the trip. My wife had the pork rib tips, field peas, and fried okra. I had the 2 meat 2 side plate (beef ribs, sausage, baked beans, and potato salad) with a great glass of sweet tea to wash it all down.

My family and I were passing through Meridian and found The Rib Shack almost completely by accident. I will personally guarantee it is a hidden gem. I can say that the ribs, potato salad, candied yams, and field peas were OUTSTANDING!! The owner, Andre, was a super cool fella! The BBQ has a very unique smoky flavor that is very hard to come by with most barbecue places. We will never pass through Meridian again without stopping by!

While traveling through Mississippi on our way to Alabama from Texas, we stopped for lunch at the Rib Shack! This place was fabulous! We have the ribs for 2 with baked beans, potato salad and wet tea! Highly recommended and we will definitely save this on our list for the next time we are passing through Meridian. MS.
